I am on lexapro right now, yes, it has been approved by my doctor. I just wanted to know if anyone else has been on any antidepressants that work good when pregnant. I am gonna to talk to my doctor about it of course, but I just want some opinions from people who have tried them.

Celexa is approved during pregnancy... I took it during my pregnancy and both my son and I are happy and healthy.

I took Celexa during my pregnancy. It made life a whole lot easier. My little boy is just fine. You should discuss it with your physician. If you are worried about taking the Lexapro, there are alternatives. There is not a "perfect" antidepressant drug for everyone. Whatever the root cause of your depression, just remember you have a precious little miracle to look after. A happy, healthy mommy tends to make for a happy, healthy baby!

It really isn't good to take medication while you are pregnant because any medication has the potential to harm the fetus. Why not try outpatient counseling? You could also take up a hobby that will keep your mind occupied. Good luck!
