I know that they are part of Satan's Army, but do we know exacty what they are. Very few are named...Legion being one.

First of all the word "demon" is not in the Bible. I used to think so, but look closely or use a concordance. The word is usually "devil", "unclean spirit", or "evil spirit". Scripture shows these were part of the angels who followed Lucifer when he rebelled against God. The Bible says in Rev. 12:4 that 1/3 of the angels followed him. These fallen angels are what we would call demons. They are in search of a body for a home through which it can manifest its ungodly character (Matt. 12:43-45). This is what we know as "possession." Thankfully those with evil spirits can be set free by the power of Christ (Mark 16:17). I hope this helps. God Bless You.

Demons are fallen angels, angels that followed Lucifer when he rebelled in Heaven.
NOTE: Satan is a Hebrew word which means 'enemy;' legion is not a name but an amount or quantity. The demon, rather than give a name, said he should be called "legion" because there were... many.

In the beginning Almighty God made Jesus as the first spirit creature. After that by means of him millions of spirit persons were made. who lived in heaven Psalms 148:2,5 Says they are direct creations of God. Not dead people. Called angels.
Genesis 6: read the chapter. They noticed the daughters of men that they were good looking and made human male bodies.
But they were not men so it was like a costume. they married women and have these huge men. Angels were not made to live with women so it was like homosexuality. Angels have free will just like humans do. So they chose to sin against God Jude 6.
God caused a flood and destroyed these children and the angels wives and to keep from dieing they went back into spirit bodies.
Read Job 1: Tells about Satan coming back and forth between heaven and earth. Many scriptures tells of these angels coming to earth. Revelation 12:7 tells about a war in heaven where these disobedient angels where thrown out of heaven.
They corrupted the earth, and heaven and are soon to be destroyed. God called them demons or wicked angels.
Legion is a hebrew word for amount. Like a herd.
We are few in number next to the spirit persons. Or angels.
