Drinking water as always bothered me. I pretty much have to force myself to do it. Squeezing lemons into the water help a little, but it is hard to keep them around all the time, since they mold so quickly. Any ideas?

add lemon juice and honey to ur water. its a good metabolic drink which flushes out the toxins from ur skin and also helps increase ur metabolism.

or u can add a little glucose powder if its difficult to keep lemons around. this will make the water tasty and pep u up too.

i dont know where u live but in India a co. called Hamdard makes a very nice fruit, veggie and rose syrup. its 100 percent herbal, good for the health and very tasty. its called "roohafza" see if u can find it in any Indie or Paki stores near to where u live.

also if u dont like water, u can increase ur consumption of fresh juices, buttermilk, milk, herbal tea. they are all hidden sources of water too. as long as ur drink doesnt contain caffine or alcohol it will be a hidden source of water so drink away!

:)

I have never enjoyed water before in my life! I used to be able to drink it only with tons of ice in it.
When I was on Weight Watchers some years back, I had to get over my problem with water and drink it whether I liked it or not. I drank at least 8-12 glasses a day, most of the time 12 glasses.
I did use a Brita Pitcher as out of the faucet gave me "chills"(of the icky kind). I could also drink bottled water, my favorite being Kirkland (the Costco brand).
I can't say when or how long it took, but after months of doing this, I noticed I didn't "need" ice anymore, nor did I need it to be from the Brita pitcher. I can even drink room temperature water now.
So, I guess the answer is the "Nike" answer- to "just do it". When you drink it regularly, you will teach your body to actually crave it. (I am typing here with a 32oz bottle of water next to me.)
If I can do it, anyone can!

All those suggestions are great, but really the bottom line is just to do it. I know exactly how you feel: I have always hated drinking water. It made me feel like I was drowning, and I would just take little sips, and it would take me all day to get through a small glass of it. LOL.

But when I read all the information about all the benefits of water, and how important it is to drink 2 quarts a day, I just put my mind to it and decided to do it.

One thing is to decide on water temperature. I don't like it very cold, just slightly cool. Some people prefer it a little warm or even hot. Experiment with different temps to see what you prefer.

Another thing is to find a drinking glass that really appeals to you! I found a blue plastic one that looks like it has water drops all over it. Something about that drinking glass made the water look more appealing.

Psych yourself. Once you get used to it, you don't mind it s much. And before long, you may find that you actually prefer water to other drinks. I did !!!

Try the Crystal Lights to Go flavors. One packets if for 20 oz bottle of water. The come in different flavors. I tried the Lemonade, Rasberry, and Peach Tea. Very good. 10 Calories for a 20 oz bottle.

A friend of mine who lives in Southern California got me onto Propel. For some reason she cannot tolerate regular water (she has pretty bad acid reflux) but drinks Propel by the case! She loves it...and it is a whole lot easier to drink than regular water.

You can get lemon juice in a little lemon shaped bottle. Also the same for lime juice. I like to combine a little lemon juice and lime juice together. You could try to water down other kinds of premade juices.

crystal light is really good. They have alot of flavors and are really convenient to use. They make drinking water much easier. Also, you could try drinking bottled or filtered water. They say water has no taste, but I disagree. Bottled water is better than tap water.

Just put a splash of lemon juice from a bottle that you keep in your fridge in your glass of water. You may want to put a filter on your tap or your fridge dispenser to enhance flavor and remove funkiness.

If the water in your town tastes bad, buy bottled. Either way, keep it cold in the fridge. We use the squeeze type Gatorade bottles with the screw top and keep them in the door of the fridge so they are handy. I try to grab one when I'm on my way out also...and keep it handy at work. Good luck.

What I did with my children was to stop buying anything else at home and now they drink water. Even when we are out elsewhere they will usually drink water.
