I cannot find it in the programs that let you uninstall it. it says its in a file??? I wonder how I can get it uninstalled the icon is also on my desktop. answer soon I am going nuts looking

I have already went to add and remove .it is not there to remove but it is on the desk top

everyone is saying the same thing .IT IS NOT IN THE ADD OR REMOVE section it says its in c/program files yahoo messenger.I hi lited it and everything no add and remove in programs.I give up

I have aim and it is not in the control panel. You have to go to your start menu and go to programs. If you highlight yahoo messenger, there is an uninstall option. At least that is what I have to do with aim.
EDIT: usually with programs, you just go to control panel, add/remove programs, and then just uninstall. But the messengers are not in there. You have to follow the instructions above.
EDIT 2: I told you how to do it. Go to your start menu, go to your programs, and highlight yahoo messenger. There should be an option to uninstall it if you highlight it. IT IS NOT in the control panel. I have aim and it is not in the control panel. It is not in add/remove in the control panel. Though mostly everything is, messengers are not. Click on start. Go to "All Programs" and yahoo messenger was installed there when you downloaded it. You options for uninstall is on your programs list when you highlight "yahoo messenger". Not in the control panel.

go to start on the bottom left of your screen
select on control panel. or settings and then control panel. go to add/remove programs. look for yahoo messenger in there and then select change or remove. that will get in uninstalled

constructive,I had a concern mutually as setting up Messenger 9.0.My anti-virus application is blocking off it,so I replaced the putting of my anti-virus application and that i advance into able to dowload it with out having any subject.If it would not artwork,substitute the settings of your domicile homestead windows defender.i'm utilising Yahoo!Messenger now.
