The U.S. started fighting the war on terror after 9-11 which led to the war with Iraq because Iraq was harboring and protecting them. If it had been your family in either of those buildings, you would probably be singing a different tune. The U.S. has made it clear that we are against terrorists--our citizens may not agree on everything, but almost all of us agree 100% on that stance. War is always ugly and bloody, but that doesn't make it any less necessary. This terrorist organization has not only targeted America, if you did your research you'd know how many other countries including yours are at risk for an attack. Do you even know the other countries, besides the U.S., that have foiled attack plans within their nations within the past year are two? You have know idea. You should not speak, you know speaking is not what you are good for or known for. Don't expect us Americans to just lay on our backs and do nothing--like you and those you speak for. We will defend ourselves til' the end from those who would stop at nothing to kill us and our freedoms, if your country would just roll over & play dead...you should be so proud.

Im from uk and i totally agree with the war in Iraq. If Sadam Hussain was still in power he could manage to get hold of a nuke and then he would be able to hold the whole world to ransom and possibly start a nuclear war. The cold war was only a few decades ago and WW2 only 50 odd years ago. People like u think ur so safe and secure and that nobody wants to hurt u and we can all jus live in peace but the only reason u have this security is because britain and america have been fighting wars against dictators like sadam for the whole of history. If nuclear war breaks out the whole world will end and everyone will die. I am not prpared to take that risk, niether is bush or blair. ur soooooooo nieve, u just think that the world is a big fluffy place and if we all throw down our weapons and let dictators grow and obtain greater power nothing will happen, and we will all be safe. Also sadam has killed far, far more people than have been killed in the war so saying that u disagree with the war because u doont want people to die is just rediculous, far more people will be saved in the long run, its time that idiots like u realised that and stopped ur stupid misinformed crusade against the very people who r protecting ur right to make these rediculous comments.

America is by no means perfect, as no nation is, has been, or ever will be perfect. Yes, we do make mistakes, and many Americans do not like to admit to making such mistakes. But rather than belittle Americans for the mistakes which they make, why not remember America for the great things that she has done...................She has established a system of democracy which has been instituted in various parts of the world, and America has come to the aide of countries in need. Do not forget Normandy and D-day when America helped liberate the French from the Nazi regime. Do not forget when America helped Great Britain during this war by sending Americans to fight in the British airplanes. The culteral diversity of America allows for us to get a worldwide perspective of various events; we are able to gain an international perspective of the world. While in one moment of darkness, we are frowned upon and all the moments where we basked in the sunlight for the cause of helping other nations are forgotten. Remember, too, that Germany owes the U.S. a great deal of Money from the first world war that they never paid us, and we never asked them for it back (even though they signed a treaty saying that they would pay it back). Is this not the mark of a nation of compassion? All nations have their hours of darkness, but we should remember these nations for the greater contributions in which they have served the world.

Umm yeah cause you french are the picture of solidarity and backbone.
How about this... there wouldn't even BE a France if we hadn't bailed you out in the past two world wars. Yeah you helped us back in the Revolution but your statue of limitations has run out.
Radical Islam wants all non Muslims to convert or die and that includes you too Frenchie. You can sit over there with the UN (aka the Useless Nations) and ignore the corrupt food for oil B.S. but that doesn't change the fact that we have a real problem and you are ostriches up to your @sses with your heads buried in the sand. But don't worry too much Dearie, when the going gets tough I am sure some young man from the UK, USA or Australia will die coming to bail your frog @ss out.

Let me give you a lesson about us Americans. We are United and United we will always be. Not all of us have the same opinions. Some of us are democrats, some of us are republicans and some of us are independent (meaning that we don't have a preference...depends on their values). This is what you would call democracy...meaning we do not get punished for having or opinions and we are able to vote who we want for as president. So there for we as United citizens of the United States don't have to believe in one thing..we have choices.

I am an American and you need to stop putting all people in one group. That would be like me saying All the people in your country is as uneducated and incompetent as you are.
If you don't like our county then don't come here. No one said you had to. You seem to be worried about our country, wont you go stick your nose back in your own country's problems!
We are Americans therefor we can think for our self and have our own opinions. We don't have to think the same as everyone else thinks. BTW the next time wont you try posting your questions in the correct area, this topic haves nothing to do with single and dating!

Of course we can't stand united on an answer. We are all about individuality! We are the land of immigrants and individuality--that's what we're proud of -- what is this united thing you speak of? Okay I guess the name of our country...but really other than that?

The Iraq War is a very mild war by far compared to the past world war where MILLIONS of people died. What would you "world peace" losers say if we had another war like that? You'd burst a vein....
