Jesus was rich... how do you think he afforded all the prostitutes and kept himself and the apostles fed all the time? Just think, he walked into the temple and threw everyone out all the money lenders and such. Over turned tables with money on them... it never mentions what he did with the money after that does it?

The financial status of Jesus is never mentioned. It would not make any difference whatsoever if Jesus was rich.

Jesus said it is difficult for a rich man to enter heaven because a rich man MAY have more attachment to the things of this world, but it is not necessarily so.

Look at Bill gates - he is the richest man in the world, but he is also one of the most generous.

Jesus was not, poor. His coat ,that was gambled for as He hung on the cross was a rare coat.,it was seamless and that was a sign of wealth.Do you actually think soldiers would gamble for rags. And ,Jesus had a treasurer, to handle His money.Just because He was born in a manager, doesn't make Him poverty-stricken.Jesus is God Incarnate,He owns everything .He is not poor.

he would have given to the poor without expectation of repayment, healed the sick, had pitty on the disenfranchized and educated people teaching where ever he went and would have given his money to a trusted person to distribute it to the less fortunate, and He would have bought a PA system for his disiples to set up on occasion so more people could be blessed, oh wait thats just about exactly what he did anyway. To bad the wealthy of today are not much interested in tis sort of thing and thanx to those who are. You good guys should start having an influence on the republican party they just don't get it.

Why would measuring things in a material manner make a difference?
As for wealth if you want to look at it that way.......

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

It says ALL things were created by him... and for him..... you cant get wealthier than having ALL things......

God bless you :)

in the New Jerusalem, gold will be so plentiful that it will be used for cobblestones and building blocks. And it will be like glass, possessing transparent qualities, so that the glorious light of the holy city will both shine through it and be reflected by it. Here is John's description: The city was pure gold, like clear glass. . . . and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass (Rev. 21:18,21). a place where there is no end to joy, no aging, no pain, no disease, no lonliness, no fear, no doubt, no discomfort, no death, and you only scratch the surface of what it's like in the Paradise of God. Majesty beyond conception, brightness and light of such beauty, it's beyond description. Sounds like a rich mans place i want to go to !

He would have ended world poverty for the time being, what else?

Seriously, though maguyver727 said it best.

Jesus having Earthly riches would have been completely contradictory to His persistent teachings that the wealth He wanted us to seek was not of this world; was eternal and not material.
