Tell your parents that its is your child and you want to raise him/her.. Its not their place to raise your child you are both together and doing well and supporting your child. I will say be careful though because if they want to they can try to leagally fight you on it and take your child which will casue alot of problems..either way though its your child and if you two are fit to raise it then you should raise it...Why doesnt your husband mind?

Its not a bad idea to let them babysit. Do not move your child in with them. Grandparents are there to spoil them you are there to be the parent and impart discipline and schedule. They did nor raise you wrong . They raised you differently. The times are different and they are not with today;s program. Working full time does not mean you cannot raise your kid , its just more difficult. This will all change when they go to school anyway. Let them know the child may stay for a couple days but he will not be living there and leave it at that. There is no need to elaborate.

If your parents live close enough have them watch your child and spend quality time with your child while you and your husband are at work. It's your child though, so if you want to raise your child then raise them. Explain to your parents that even though you work full-time, your first and most important job is being a full time parent. I would never bring up the subject about you wanting to raise them differently. I would just explain that you didn't have the child for them to raise. Tell them they raised there kids and now its time for them to enjoy theirselves. You are the mom. Do what you feel is best in your heart. You know yourself and your child better than anyone. You do what you know is best!

You would be the first couple to raise a child while both working a full time job. My mother and father raised me and both of them worked a full time job. I like to think I turned out ok. I'm in the miltary now and I know lots of families with children. Military doesn't provide child care, but if both parents are in the military (as it happens often) then they have to work it out. Just tell you parents that it's your child and you want to be able to kiss them every night before the go to sleep and how much emptier life would be if your child wasn't in it.

I can't give you any advice, but can I ask, did your parents actually say they wanted to "raise" your child? I have an opinion, and it's this: your parents have no real right, at this time, to request raising your child. But if they merely want to help because you and your husband both work full time, then I PERSONALLY don't see a problem with that, as long as they don't try to undermine the training you've already provided to your child.

You're married and they have no right to raise your child. Tell them straight out that you will not allow them to raise your son/daughter. If you don't stand up for this now, you will regret it for the rest of your life. Maybe your parents can't accept the fact that you don't "need" them anymore and they want your child because he or she will "need" them. Suggest to them that they either adopt or get involved in foster care. If they really want to raise a child, there's tons of children in the foster care system that could use a good home. Your child should stay with you.

What is up with your husband? He doesn't want to raise his own child or what? There are plenty of parents that both work AND raise their children. I'd tell your parents to back off. I'm a single mother of 2, I work full time and I go to school, What's your excuse?

As a single mom, i understand it is hard. But that is no reason to give up your child. If you know you can be a great mom, don't let anyone tell you different. If you let you parents raise the kids, you will never be able to have that sacred bond between a mother and child. Trust me, that is a lot to lose.

I dont think that they have the right to raise your child if you are doing a good job at it. Your husband should not be supporting this it is his child also. This is why we have daycare for little ones. I would tell your parents no.

Tell them that you yourself were looking forward to raising you child your entire life.
It will be too hart to completely keep them away from raising your child, and it may be not necessary. Seriously, would you rather have a stranger for a babysitter? If yes - prepare that they will be insulted and offended, and rightfully so. Make it clear to them exacly what need to be done when they are helping out with your child. They might be traineable.
