no, as soon as it got outside it would find something more interesting than the red dot and run off..

no, a cat would be distracted by the rest of the world and run away, even if the cat doesnt find anything small particularly interesting the cat will find the fact he/she is outside ur house

well i know for sure that you can exercise a black lab with one!!! he runs back and forth through the yard in the dark chasing the darn thing!!!

probably for a bit but then (s)he would just get tired and go find some other intresting thing. (dont get a leash i got one for my kitty and when we take him outside, he just lays on his back and sits there)
