i think it depends on the way the animal is being taken care of. if you are mean to it then yes it will attack on defence for its self but for them to be mean just because they got a taste of blood i dont think so my sister has a pit and it had a taste of blood but she is fine my 3 year old plays with her all the time any dog will bite and turn on you if it is miss treated.

there is not any such element as a nasty canines, in user-friendly terms a nasty proprietor! i understand an incredible type of pittbulls that are friendly. in fact, the only canines i've got ever seen chew actually anybody have been the little yappy lap canines! My daughter grew to become into bitten on the face with the aid of a Shih-tzu while she grew to become into 4 months old curiously because of the fact she grew to become into eye-point with the canines, yet my 70 pound shepherd blend would not blink a watch if the child ripped out a clump of hair!

That is a common confusion, honey. Think about rouge lions. It is said that once they get a taste of human blood the will then always go for human pray. It has been shown that lions now hunt humans, not exclusively, but much more because they have learned that humans are now easy prey. Males, the lazy lion, are almost always the rouge. Now pit bulls may have many problems, real and imagined, but tasting blood will not make them viscous.

It's not true, it's more like if the dog attacks something then, it might do it again if it thinks it's okay, it's not really about the blood. Also, it has nothing to do with being a pitbull, all dogs can get vicious if you teach them to be that way.

umm... is this a serious question? If a pit bull IS vicious or any dog for that matter then you should consider re-training, and if that doesn't work, then maybe finding another home for the dog. To answer your question... No, you should not have a dog put to sleep if it tastes blood.

No.. but if they are allowed to be aggressive they will continue to do so. It is sort of like when kids are allowed to get away with things they continue till they are stopped. same concept..
and look, FightingPit is on again. don't you have a yard full of Pitfighters to take are of?
thought that in of itself was a full time job.
Get a life dude. all you do is insult everyone else who loves these dogs because we do not believe in fighting them like you do.

No that is so NOT true. I have pit bulls and I know lots of people who breed them and I can tell you that is honesty NOT true. A pit bull gets vicious when it's owner beats on the dog and teaches the dogs to behave that way.

I have heard that if any aggressive dog bites a human and gets the taste - they will continue to seek that taste. All dogs are carnivores, pit bulls are known to be aggressive in nature. They are also known to lock their jaws when the bite making it difficult for their victim to break away so the damage is severe. I wouldn't own one personally, beautiful dogs just not that great of a personality....
