Windows 2000 would be best, but you can still install XP on it if you like. Only a few programs need XP to run... Most work in Windows 2000! If you want to set up a server, Linux is the way to go.

Yeah, XP would struggle to run on a K6. Windows 2K is your best bet out the two.

I have XP running on a 400 Mhz with 32 MEG Ram. I was surprised, it works well!

windows 2k (2000) because XP requires 128 MB of RAM just to run xp, so you wont be able to do much

Better go with XP as everything else is outdated.
