Fishing for "REDS" last week in Jacksonville Fla. A close family member had just recently passed and we had just gotten back in the fishing ritual. Been sitting on the bank for what seemed like an eternity. with narry a nibble when I decided to ask the recently deceiced family member for a little help in the form of a "BIG ONE". Well you guessed it. About 5 minutes later my prayer go answered in the form of a 9 second spooling. YEP. Never seen him, never turned him. Next time I`ll ask if I can get one to go. Moral: Be careful what you wish for!!!!!

I live in CA and Dad and I went pier fishing a few weeks ago. I caught four mackerel (threw three of them back in; gave the fourth to some kid on a bike) which are considered throw-away fish because they taste like crap. I also hooked my dad as he was trying to bait my hook :)

My dad and I recently got into fishing again. We do both ocean and lake fishing.

Ocean fishing: Sea bass, halibut (flounder).
Lake fishing: Perch, bluegill, catfish
