I think stupidity and ignorance should be outlawed.
I think it should be a law that everyone has to read the Bible, Torah, and Quran as well as every other belief system that exists like Buddhism and Hinduism. Just so that people actually know what the books are about and not talk out of their a s s.
I think veto power should be outlawed because it always appears as though the best decisions get rooted out because of some superpower arrogance.
I think you should have to spend time in jail for each ignorant and arrogant remark or action you make.
I think people need to be taught respect and compassion.
Not everyone is evil.
Just those select individuals who think they're so good but do nothing but encourage violence and destruction.
Violence should be outlawed.

It will be when Babylon the Great will be destroyed. Revelation Chapter 17 speaks ONLY of the destruction and death of World Religions. When the Kings and the Merchants who do Business with her mourn her passing because of the GREAT WEALTH and business she shares with them. She is also responsible for the death of Martyr's and many, many of God's people in terrible ways. So, before this world ENDS, the world religions MUST fall. There is even an Old Testament scripture that says that when the "authorities come around looking, the religious leaders will "pass themselves off as farmers" until the authorities look at their "uncalloused" hands and see they do no hard manual labor." So, the day is coming. . .
And IT WILL BE THE UNITED NATIONS WHO DOES THIS. THE UNITED NATIONS IS 3/4ths ATHEISTIC NATIONS AS OF TODAY! So, something BAD will have to happen in order for the world governments to turn some or alot of their powers over to the U.N., I wonder what that will be??

I would say money and power are the greatest cause of wars.
As an atheist, people expect me to want religion banned. I do not feel this way. I think people have the liberty to believe whatever they want as long as they don't hurt anyone else. Heck, you want to believe you're the next Jesus? Be my guest buddy. However, I think religion should be discouraged and able to critically analyze and critique. We could reach a state like Europe where 3/4's of its citizens do not adhere to religious belief. And even those that are religious believe in evolution and such.
You should read Andrew Newberg's book entitled "Why God won't go away." He's a professor of medicine (i believe) at the University of Pennsylvania. I think his argument is solid, but you be the judge of that.

I don't. Religions are useful social structures. They're tools in the right hands. If they're outlawed, people would simply latch onto another form of belief and fight over those. Do you want Aristotleans clubbing Macchiavellians over the head instead of Christians and Muslims? I'd rather not... The philosophers had more potentially dangerous ideas about how to screw up the real world than most religions out there. We'd have Marxism vs. Fascism vs. Authoritarianism vs. Anarchy vs. Republicanism vs. Democracy vs. Anarchy vs. Anarchy. At least now, we've got something approaching democracy overall. This is how the economic inefficiency of any ban would be expressed; in chaos.

To outlaw religion based on the actions of the radical fringe would be unfair to those who practice religion but do no harm to others. Additionally, it would set a bad precedent because if we are going to ban religion simply because some people abuse it, then you could extend that same line of reasoning to anything else -- speech, for example. Some people libel, incite others to engage in illegal activity, put others down... but you certainly wouldn't favor outlawing speech, would you?
Besides, if religious people weren't already pissed off, I'm sure banning their practice would do the trick and cause even more of them to "ruin the world."

You are extremely in error on your opinion. It is not religion that is responsible for any war. Who fights the wars? That's who is responsible for the wars. Men!!!!! Maybe we should outlaw men.

Religion as defined is not just a social or commune thing it also a personal set of beliefs... so do you know what it is you are outlawing. In additon... as with any tool, it is not the tool that is deadly; it is the user who is.

I do not think religion should be outlawed. Aren't there things you are fanatic about... possibly your music, a hobby, sports?

If faith bothers you so much, why do you fret over it? Would someone saying that Athiests bother them be justified in saying Athiests, agnostics or (fill in the blank) should be outlawed? Or, are you asking this from a narrow seventh century mindset?
