You do your research, post verses around the verse in question to put it into context, create a link to an external contextual source. The point is, a lot of the questions addressed to Christians are out of context. It is like anything else, you take a small sample of what has been said in a speech and you can make it seem like the opposite of what was intended. I did post an example of this, but it was removed. Someone did not examine the context of what I had said!! Recent events prove what can happen if you take something out of the intended context, with disastrous consequences.

The bible is very deep in its knowledge. It takes more than a passing glance to gleen all of its meat. Some things are taken out of context, but even the term, context, is over used. If you have a question, the best thing to do is get a cross-referencing bible. It takes time, but if you are truly interested it is worth it.

Some things, though, are black and white. I would be happy to help you, just let me know. If I don't know something I will tell you and then try my best to help you find the answer you are looking for. Just don't be upset if it isn't the answer you are looking for.

Take care!

Dude, rest assure, I will I can see whenever a person is taking a verse out of context, christian and non-christian alike. I see both,Christians and non-Christians taking verses out of context. Non-Christians more so than Christians, but that's to be expected. The problem is, sometimes it just get me a bit frustrated to constantly see it happening, again and again.

A note for you fellow Christians though?? If someone calls you out on taking a verse out of context, don't argue saying that you didn't. Instead, ask them how and why, and use good reason and discernment to see if you were in the wrong, and be thankful for being corrected.

Posting an opinion is can be anything out of context - it's only an opinion - but to quote the Bible out of context is to give it a meaning it does not actually have - so it's usually best to provide its reference.

Anyone can post an opinion on here. Go for it. Just remember that other people have opinions too. If you're going to quote scripture quote the whole thing. Don't just pick one part of it because that is taking it out of context.

The bible is a vary large book and I would dare to suggest very few are experts who know it all. So we give our best effort and try to learn from others and try not to get bogged down by some of the criticisms one might face in a medium such as this.

Some I like because they speak of the love of God. Others use Bible verses to forward their own agendas. I knew of a couple who beat their children because the Bible said "spare the rod and spoil the child". What an awful interpretation of the Word of God.

i presumed that a average Christian grew to become into somebody who grew to become into Christian yet held political ideals that would average. for occasion, a average Christian fairly of being professional-existence (greater Christian good), may well be professional-determination or professional-choiceANDpro-existence. I constantly have stumbled on it annoying while political stances have been conditional on being referred to as a undeniable faith, because of the fact which could easily be bastardized/corrupted right into a "accept as true with me, or you're banished from God's favour" that's a fear-based leverage gadget that i do no longer think of accurately reflects Who God Is, or how God works.
