well maybe you need to be in an environment where you can show him some other sides of you other than just the "Jock" aspect! Maybe you guys can go to a movie, just the two of you and oh...where something really sexy!

don't pretend to be something u r not ... instead, if you have a soft corner for him - say it. Worst case he'll say no which would be relatively better to hear now then when u're more involved.

it really depends on if he notices you. if he does drop some books in front of him and say could you help me or just go up to him and talk to him. let him know how you feel.
