Some of the latest studies have shown that the majority of gay people don't choose to be gay they are born with a genetic mix up. An ofcourse you do have people with no genetic mix up, and make a personal decision to be gay.

If you feel that you are a man "trapped in a woman's body", I would suggest that you find yourself a really good clinical psychiatrist. (Not talking about the ones who only want your money and could give a damn about listening to what you say).

You have to find a warm, loving and caring professional psychiatrist who is going to take the time to listen to every emotion that you feel.

Very important that you obtain therapy related to how your feel. I don't mean therapy to change the way you feel. Therapy to find out who is the real you.

Then, you will have alternative solutions to learn how to live a quality life being gay, or cross dressing an even undergo a sex change operation. (Usually a sex change operations requires that a psychiatrist concurs that this is the best option for you).

You may very well be. There are hormonal and chromosomal issues that occur prior to birth that sometimes result in what you are describing.

Check out the gender reassignment websites and read up on the issue to see if you can relate. You can have chromosomal tests done to see if you may have an unusual arrangement. Realize too, that some people are stuck in the middle - they may not be totally male or totally female and they don't go through reassignment therapy.

I should also mention that if you are religious, the Unitarian church and the Church of Christ are welcoming religions for transexual and transgendered people.

I don't know, these are very complicated issues and probably should be addressed to those with the same problem or a mental health professional. Sounds like a terrible way to live, hope you reach some sort of peace and ability to deal with your lifestyle.

do you really mean 'gay man'?

That's weird, i think i understand that. I like gay guys, and i feel strange that i do, but i like regular guys too much to want to you know... Do you like guys or gay guys? cause if you just like guys, then maybe you just feel out of place or something. I can't really give you much advice, but if you feel like it's something that is really important to you, there is always surgery and all that. If you like plain guys and not girls, unless it was really important to you, i'd stay as you were. If you like all guys regardless, then i'd probably not take the time or trouble. But it's all how you feel.
