You need to begin regular but mild exercise to strengthen the muscles again. You'll be back to normal within a few weeks. I stongly advise against breaking fibulas and tibias are worse....far better to break a finger-nail. I realize that your broken fibula was only a way to attract attention, gain sympathy and get your cast autographed, etc...but that's all over...and your 'accident' will be soon ended. I am teasing you...I am a physician and I know the return to normal activity takes a relatively short time, but to you it seems forever. Best Wishes.

I had a girl trip me in school. I broke my fibula. I had a cast like you did. My anckel never held up right. I can pop my ankle in and out. So I'm telling you to work it so you don't have the same problem. You can get a walking cast that fits in your shoe so you want be on crutches for uni.. But once you start wearing it keep doing it. I think that was my problem when I didn't wear mine the full time. ok... The more you walk it and exercise and wear the walking cast I told you about you should be ok. Monday moring have your mom or you go to your family doctor and get a wlking cast. Believe me it will help. w/ walking. Hope everything works out for you.

I have not broken my fibula, but as an athletic trainer I can let you know what to expect.
First of all, most people benefit from rehab of some sort, whether it be physical therapy or whatever. Because your strength is not where it was to begin with your walking is going to be altered. In addition, the heel pain could be from calf tightness. It could also be from the way that you are walking or plantar fascitis.
Talk to your doctor about rehab and let them know that you are having pain. If the bone is healed then there should be no concern as far as walking or strengthening. I don't think you will need crutches.

Yup, been there done that. They didn't put mine in a cast so can't speak to what happens when it comes off. But it was six weeks before walking was halfway normal. I used crutches for a couple of weeks and then just hopped around. The doc told me I could do anything if I could stand the pain. I was old as dirt when it happened so it will take you a lot less time than it did me. Good luck.
