Since you are looking at what is called point and shoot cameras, the more mega pixels you can get for your price range is the way I would go.
I am not familiar with any of these particular cameras so I looked at their sites. The thing I notice about the samsung is that they have put a lot of money into flash presentations, which do not tell you much about the product, and that there are at least 3 models to choose from. Those ad costs are no doubt going to be passed onto the consumer.
When you are talking about point and shoot cameras, you are talking about certain limits, such as the inability to change lens, less auto settings that can be overridden for special circumstances, and limited focal ranges.
I have a 6 mega pixel real no name camera that I got on ebay for less than 200 bucks that takes really good pictures, is compact and has served well. (I got an email from ebay the other day saying they were now going for around 240 bucks and maybe I would like to sell mine now..) I do not want to sell it, as I might have use for it again although I have moved up to a dslr (digital single lens reflex) 8 mega pixel with 3 lens, (olympus evolt e500.. really a fine camera on a par with the very popular canon rebel that goes for more money)
What are you going to use the camera for is what I would ask .. the truth is you can take good pictures with a disposable off the rack camera if you know what you are doing... it is just easier with good equipment.
This site usually has some pretty good deals on cameras, and on the left column there are links to outlets that almost always have cameras on sale.

I would if I were going for a point and shoot, look for the most mega pixels I could afford, and that had removable storage media so I was not stuck with just what the camera could hold before having to go home and download the pics.
Here is a blog that might be of interest to you in deciding on a camera to suit your needs.

(I think the earlier postings have more about camera choice than the current ones.)

I have experience of all those cameras. The Sony knocks spots off of the others . The lens on the Sony is fantastic and the colour and tonal range beats the opposition any day.

It depends on what you want out of your camera. The best way to choose is to go to a reputable dealer and play around with each brand. One may have better attributes than another but you won't like the "feel" of it or the look of it. After handling each of them you can then select the one you want.

lmao- this is rather embarrassing... but I would recommend Samsung phones any day. And that's simply because I went swimming once in a lake with my phone in my pocket the whole time. I was underwater for 45 minutes before I realised the phone was underwater with me. I know, stupid. I got out and took my phone out and it was full of sand and water. Both screens were filled with fluids and I was sure it would never work again. It is a newer flip phone and amazingly... after a couple days of drying out, it works perfectly. Still- even to this day there is not a problem with it. I still find sand coming out of it every once in a while, but ****... you can't beat quality like that. :)
