that sounds familiar
hmmm now where did I type that before.
o:) NA
Mar 2:8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
Mar 2:9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
Mar 2:10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
Mar 2:11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
Mar 2:12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

He doesn't ever ask why? in the Bible because He doesn't know the answer, but because He wanted His apostles to think about what they thought and did, and what better way to do that than by asking rhetorical questions?
Like that one.
Jesus was the master of rhetorical questions.
He used them to say things about people without directly judging them (unlike many people on this website), but still directing their attention to what they were doing wrong.

Good question. My bible never lies and i believe everything in it, the reason why He said that is that human heart were full with evil taught and they never think about any good things others as it is because Jesus healed the sick people on the sabbath day and they were jealousy about it and even they sabbath day as the day they don't to work. But God told them if your goat, sheep are hugry or sick will you live them still the next day or you will take care of them so do human being needs to be healed on the sabbath day. If you read Mark 3:4 it says "Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil?to save life or to kill? But they held their peace.Just try to read the whole chaper 3 and see. that is.

I don't think you are understanding what Jesus was doing. Jesus already knew the answer before He asked. You need to read the whole paragraph before and after, not just take a sentence and use it out of context.

Remember that the trinity thing was added well after the bible, so you could interpret this as being simply Jesus saying that.

As I said, He asks question to make you think. That isn't a why question. In literature it is a retoracle or sarcastic question.

I have had a hard year, and I don't ask him why, and I don't question him. We will have the answers when we die.
