A friend has proclaimed she has chenges he name slegally beacause her old name ahs too many bad memories, this would be a second timeshe has tried this, what should I tell her?

OK sis so which friend is doing all the name changing? First I have heard of this! I say to each their own.. If it makes her happy let her do it.. It won't make the creditors go away tho lol!

As much as I hate it when someone uses my full name I wouldnt want to change it my name is the only thing that my parents gave me that they didnt try to take away when I was growing up LOL

I think it would be her decision of changing her name and if it makes her feel free from her bad memories, YES ! why not. There's no crime of changing names as long as she done it the legal way

i think whatever makes her happy is the way to go. she will continue to want to change her name if she already has her heart set on it. you could tryt o encourage her telling her that either way you love her for her and that to you a name makes no difference, but if she decides to go with it then you are there for her 100%.

A rose is a rose is a rose. By any other name it would smell as sweet. If changing her name makes her feel better about herself, go for it. It just changes your letterhead, not who you truly are.

Changing it once is fine, but not twice. You can't go thru life changing your name just because of bad memories.

Well if it makes her feel better then she should do it. Maybe it is a kind of transition for her and helps her change her state of mind.

You have to just dela with your demons and move on.
I wanted to change my name to Candy when I was little. LOL
