If you live in a covenant controlled neighborhood, check your Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions C.C.&R.'s as there may be a condition included for peace and noise abatement. If not, or you don't have CC&Rs, politely let your neighbor know that the noise level is a bit much. It's a relatively minimal investment for the musician to invest in drum pads that will soften the noise, as opposed to the cost of sound proofing the garage or source room. If the discussion remedies nothing and it continues to be a problem and as a last resort loge a complaint with your local police dept. as the city may have an ordinance against this. Good luck.

Talk to your neighbors and then if that doesn't remedy the problem, call the police department. Depending on if you're in city limits or not, you'll either have to contact city or county police to find out if there's a noise ordinance where you live. If so, find out what time the noise ordinance goes into effect and what time it ends. You may have a valid complaint if they are doing it all day long just to be a nuisance. If you work late night shifts and have to sleep during the day, try explaining that to the neighbors also and see if they can keep it quiet during the time you're trying to rest. Good luck!

First, talk to your neighbors about the noise problem.
If you get no results after talking to them, then call the cops and file a disturbing the peace or noise complaint.'

Jeez man, i don't know. there might be some way of putting it, disturbing the peace, etc. That could make i happen, but I think that might fall under the Freedom to Operate a Musical Instrument Amendment (yes, a joke). Maybe the best course of action would be to talk to him/her.

Get a yappy little dog and teach it to bark at the drums. it won't take much effort trust me.
Eventually someone will come over and ask you to keep your dog quiet. And you could say, I 'm sorry , he just barks at the drums.

I would calmly ask your neighbors to keep the noise to a minimum. Hopefull that will help. If not you can always call your local police station and make a complaint.

I think by now I would really be going nuts.
I think they can't start before a certain time & they have to stop at a certain time.
The times depend on your city ordinance.

It is "disturbing the peace"...
Before 8:00 a.m.
After 11:00 p.m. Fri., Sat., and nights before holidays - otherwise, 10:00.
Not much you can do in between, I don't think.
