A better question would be, if everything has a beginning and an end. How can something have been forever? God is eternal, he has always been and will always be. If God created himself and then created man, then why would he need to impregnate himself into Mary to be born as a human in the form of Jesus?

its not in the bible that God is Jesus?Seven hundred years before the birth of Christ, the prophet Isaiah said, "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel" (Isaiah 7:14 There are several reasons the virgin birth was a necessity. The Bible teaches that the Word who became flesh was with God from the very beginning (John 1:1). The fact of the pre-existence of Christ is confirmed many times in the New Testament (John 8:58; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:15,16).When Jesus came into the world, He was not a newly created individual such as we are, but was rather the eternal Son of God. To be born into this world, of the virgin Mary, required divine intervention, and this is exactly what the Gospels record. if Jesus had been sired by Joseph, He would not have been able to claim the legal rights to the throne of David. According to the prophecy of Jeremiah 22:28-30, there could be no king in Israel who was a descendant of King Jeconiah, and Matthew 1:12 relates that Joseph was from the line of Jeconiah. Jesus would have been of the cursed lineage. The virgin birth of Christ is not only an historical fact, but it was also a necessary historical fact when one considers all the data.
Another reason Jesus needed to be virgin-born was His sinless nature. A basic New Testament teaching is that from the day He was born until the day He died, Jesus was without sin. To be a perfect sacrifice, He must Himself be perfect -without sin. Since our race is contaminated with sin, a miraculous entrance into the world would be required, hence the virgin birth.

He "came out of a woman" to fulfill the words of Gen. 3:15. We beleieve He is God because:
1 - The Bible affirms it
2 - He performed many miracles
3 - He fulfilled over 100 prophecies concerning His life
4 - He forgave sin
5 - He did not refuse worship
6 - He resurrected from the dead
7 - He claimed to be God
8 - He lived a sinless life
No he doesn't need no women, but the Incarnation is part of his plan for redemption. I hope this helps. God Bless you.

Because it says so in the bible. In the beginning God was the Word. the word became flesh in the manifestation of Jesus' birth. Upon Jesus' ascension into heaven, he breathed the Holy spirit out among his disciples to be their comforter. All in the NT.

Because Jesus is God. Because it was his good pleasure to become poor, give up his omnipresense, and walk around bound in a meat suit for about 35 years, for the express purpose of restoring a way for us to be WITH God.

Good question. BTW, digging the hat.
Who is Krishna? Who is Vishnu? Who is jesus? They are not the same. Which one is better? Which one is the true god? Which one did not pray to a GOD?
Thumbs down for this remark because it will be semi racist but true(I am not a racist, so please do not get offended). Christianity is the white man's religion. Argue if you please, but it is true. First spreaded by the romans. They always took men as GOD or GODs. Is jesus the lord GOD of israel?

Because they were told as toddlers Jesus = God, and that was good enough for them. No additional input needed.

Stanman,
Understand the concept of the 'kinsman redeemer.' The type of the kinsman redeemer can be found in Ruth. The Ols Testament is full of the types of Christ. That's why Jesus said:
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
The scriptures of Jesus time was what we call the Old Testament. It pointed to Him, with no exaggeration, hundreds of times. And yet it takes patience, intelligence, and a very good teacher to bring them out for you. That's why those who have been exposed to these things are immune to the attacks brought by nonbelievers with no understanding. They simply are attacking with air.

Because if it were any different would you believe? Faith comes from believing and the woman was truly blessed to be the mother of our saviour and lord, chosen by God and God was with her. Jesus became God in the flesh as we are one with God as true believers.
