Jesus brought grace . In Luke 16:16 He says: the law and the prophets were until John ( the baptist ) ; since that time the kingdom of God is preached and every man presseth into it. You need to know more. Romans 3:27 Paul is talking about Jesus : He says; By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Read Ephesians 2:8-16 / Romans 9:4 / Romans 2;11-14 and there is more. The gentile's were never under the law. Read these scriptures and they will explain. Read the whole chapters. Galatians 2;21Paul says ; I do not frustrate the grace of God; for if righteousness came by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. / I ICorinthians 3;6 Paul declares that Christ made us able ministers of the New Testament. I can take you to about fifty places in the Bible that makes reference to what Im telling you. I will pray that everyone understands what this is saying. Jesus said ; The greatest commandment is ; To love the Lord thy God with all thy heart soul, and mind; and to love thy neighbor as thyself. He said; On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. This is worth checking into. Try to understand with an open mind and not just get mad at me.

Compelling argument. If our children were forced to read a book in school which contained only a small fraction of the content of this video, many parents would be totally aghast, lawsuits and boycotts would surely follow.
It has always amazed me that the christian groups which decry violence in films, music, and television, embrace graphic violence when it suits their own needs. Take the Mel Gibson movie, Passion of the Christ for example, an entire film about ultra-violent human suffering, yet it has been hailed by christians as one of the best movies of all time. We all know Jesus (a man who probably did live) suffered to his death. I always thought the important part of the Jesus story is what happened outside of his death.
In the defense of the bible I must say that it is also full of many good stories about how the world can be a better place but I do not believe it to be a historically accurate document.

OK, I watched part of it, but, in the Bible God states that He doesn't expect us to follow the laws of the Old Testament. So whoever made the video is wasting his time, not to mention it was just stupid. I don't know what Bible he was going by, I tried to find some of what he was saying in my KJV Bible, but couldn't. Just the 2nd point he tried to make he blantly twisted things, the commandment says "Thou shalt have no other Gods before me" He doesn's say any thing about NON-believers about not believing in any God, and the guy on he video tries to say that God says all non-believers, when in fact its talking about worshipping false Gods. I could go on and on but, why waste MY time. We don't live in the same time or conditions as when the Bible was written, God doesn't expect us to live as if we are. He expects us to live in TODAYS world.

im not a christian, but from what ive learned about how christians think (and im still learning), i would say that some christians will answer with "the bible is not to be taken literally", while other christians will say, "this video is just taking a part of the quote and not the whole chapter".

most christians, i think, will not accept this video as proof that the bible is "repulsive". they will probably say that the video is taking the words "out of context".

i am leaning toward the view that most christians just pick and choose what to believe from the bible and leave the rest as "overlooked" areas. "ooh, i like what this part of the bible says, but i dont like this, so i wont believe in it."

most of the christians i have described in this post will vehemently oppose my post, but deep down, i think they are in doubt.

You need to spend time in BOTH the New and Old Testament.

You are doing well at picking apart Scripture, but there are plenty more verses that paint an even LARGER PICTURE than what you have painted here.

Do get a CHAIN REFERENCE Bible and do your research again on THE LAW and How Jesus came "not to abolish the law, but to fulfill the law."

You will be fascinated as to how this provides an even greater clarity to what you have attempted to describe here about the Holy Bible.

God bless you on your continued research. In fact there have been many who have set out to disprove the Scriptures and upon THOROUGH and COMPLETE ANALYSIS have been swayed rather to believe.

It is the age old argument that why would a loving God let bad things happen to ones who love him?
I just read the first story where the teacher is shot 4 times after she asks God to save her and the students from the crazed gunman. The problem comes from trying to apply finite thought to his infinite wisdom. The answer is sometimes we just don't know as the blessing from a bad situation where people die may not come for generations.

they are no longer Jews because of the fact Jew's have not got self belief the messiah has come yet. they have not got self belief Jesus so believing in Jesus and asserting your Jewish needless to say contradicts one yet another.... it rather is unhappy that there are those Evangelist Christians that decision themselves "Jews". stop this custom now, your disgracing the two Judaism and Christianity.

I like that video especially as it is made so that the stupidest person should be able to understand it (it needs to be when addressing Christians) I predict that Christians will be shouting "thats taken out of context" right about now, or "you are interpreting it incorrectly" How can you express a view on it without taking it out of context? also it seems to me that the video is interpreting the bible literally how else do you suppose you are meant to interpret it?

I watched about half of it and all I can say is that it is a perfect example of people misunderstanding things.

The author is relating the law of Moses to Americans. That is not applicable because Jesus fulfilled the law. The death penalties under the old testament were designed to teach people the seriousness of serving God.
When the gentiles (non-Jews) were opened to serve God, the law went away and now we are under grace through Jesus.

So, the entire first part is absolute nonsense. If you want to argue that it was unjust for God to create those laws for the Jews, you can have your opinion. However, that is a display of self-righteousness. I tend to think that God knew what He was doing.

The outright blasphemy about Jesus being an "idiot" is a display of the author's own idiocy. Jesus did not mean for people to literally gouge their eyes out, etc. He was trying to show how important it is to follow the standards of God. He was trying to teach that following God is more important than giving in to the desires of the flesh.

All I can say is that people like the author of that video are ridiculous. Their self-righteousness is sickening. God's standards require people to live holy, peaceful, loving lives. He is trying to twist the righteousness of God into what he thinks it means.

If you wish to learn about God, you should learn from Christians instead of scoffers.
You don't see Christians killing people, but you see feminists killing unborn children with abortion.
You don't see Christians stealing, but you see thieves robbing people blind.
You don't see Christians on TV with revealing clothing, but you see whoremongers promoting sex.

The actions speak for themselves. Judge people by their actions, not their words.

You need to attempt to read the bible in its entirety....old and new testaments. The old testament has rules we are to live by and the new explains how all of those rules were fulfilled and we are forgiven........I can't possibly listen to whole thing and I have no interest in it, just like I have no interest in people who only analyze every word instead of reading the over all book.
