Good point. His physical body died, but his soul lives on. He did not die for our sins, that's a myth created by religions. He lived to show us how to live and to teach us about the Kingdom of Heaven. He left when his work was done.

Well Jesus did die. When he was on the cross, the Roman soldiers did not take him down from the cross until the confirmed he was dead. When they pierced his side with the spear his blood separated which only happens to a dead person (John 19:28-36).
The difference is that Jesus died and rose again on the third day. So he did die for our sins.

Yes he did die for our sins. I am not sure what version of the bible you are reading but it says in John 19:30-33 ," When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head and gave up the ghost.
the Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the Sabbath day,(for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other that was crucified with him.
But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:

Jesus died Physically (HE, a Spiritman, came out of HIS Body and the Silver Cord was Broken.)
Jesus died Spiritually, HE took on our Sins which Seperated HIM from the Father Spiritually.
Jesus was Reborn in the middle of Hell, Jesus was Recreated in Hell (Born-Again).
Jesus picked up HIS Body on the Way back to Heaven.

The Death of Jesus
Mark 15:33At the sixth hour darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour. 34And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"[c]
35When some of those standing near heard this, they said, "Listen, he's calling Elijah."
36One man ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink. "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down," he said.
37With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.
38The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and[d] SAW HOW HE DIED, he said, "Surely this man was the Son[e] of God!"
40Some women were watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome. 41In Galilee these women had followed him and cared for his needs. Many other women who had come up with him to Jerusalem were also there.

Man...
This is a touchy subject for Christians.
I have never been able to get a straight response.
Personally, i don't believe Jesus died. I believe it was Judas in his place. The Bible didn't say anything about him dying. It's a wierd interpretation. Plus, the Bible has been rewritten throughout history. Therefore, it can never be classified as 100% accurate.
And i think the whole concept of "died for our sins" is odd. According to this "logic", people like Mahatma Ghandi will be going to hell because they didn't accept Jesus as their saviour. Now please explain to me how this resembles a fair God... I honestly don't understand how everyone who believes in Jesus and that he's God's son will go to heaven, but everyone else regardless of how good they are will go to hell.
It's an elitist religion.
I hate the concept.
But then again, to each their own right?

...What would be the point of raising Him from the dead if He had never died?
...You had better read your Bible more carefully - observe 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, especially verse 3
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

Well, Jesus did die symbolically, even though he came back to life. You shouldn't take religious text so literally, because there are metaphors. I does make sense that Jesus would ultimately go to hell if he is the son of god. But sense he's god's human representation, he should have died because he's human. Whetever.

Romans 14:9,,John 10;11..12;13..12;24..Rom 5;6 read these. Jesus dies on a cross for our sins, and on the 3rd day he arose, and he lives forever more, he was the first begotten from the dead. Do you understand what that means?
