I did it.......castor oil works!!!! It's a little stinky at the beginning of labor and as my nurse put it. Oh, someone had a castor oil cocktail??? It worked for me and my sister.

I used castor oil and orange juice--I drank it at 9:45 pm and my son was born at 12:48 am. Yeah, 3 hours. I had a midwife and had already given birth naturally to my first child. My first was 2 weeks late and we were going to induce (at the hospital), but I went into labor the night before. It just so happens that I had my second on my due date; my midwife was going out of town and wanted to be able to deliver my second, as well... The midwife called me that night and told me to try the castor oil thing...she almost didn't make it! So, yes, it worked for me, but I was 40 weeks to the day. It's not a good idea if you aren't 40 weeks. However, my son (the castor oil baby), was born with 'the veil' ...my water never broke and I was told he'd have tons of pyschic abilities (which for a three year old, he does...) I don't know if it was because of the castor oil or my spiritual connections, but please talk to your doc or midwife first and ask them about it!!!! Good luck and congratulations!

Walk as much as you can without overdoing it. I was 38 weeks pregnant and i walked about a mile in the neighborhood. A hour later, i felt contractions. Walked again & i was ready to go to the hospital. full gestation is at 37 weeks so if you do induce your own labor your baby will be fine.
I remember it well cause i ate a chili dog from dairy queen after my mile long walk. i dont know if it had anything to do with it but hey,it worked!
Castor oil doesn't work, it just gives you the sh!ts!

Why do you want to induce labour in 2 weeks or so nature will take care of that problem for you. If you are sick and tired of being pregnant, try walking hard or better yet sex will sometimes work worth a try unless you have specifically been told not to have sex

Do not use castor oil!I shouldn't tell you this but I know for A fact that riding lawnmowers will do the trick but unlike you I was already overdue.

you are a fool if you try to do anything but the natural course of things
just remember that anything external could possibly cause your baby harm
if your doctor thinks you should be induced then they will do it safely in the hospital.

Dont even let a doctor induce. Your baby will come when it is ready. Why interrupt the development process? For your selfishness? Let God do His work.

the last couple of weeks is the time for you to get the last times of good sleep youll have for a while ...do all the things you can do with ease as such ... get ready for impending chaos from life as you know it ...take advantage of it ...and let nature take its course... it seems like forever ...but ..forever starts when theyre born ...so grab the last bit of you being you and not mum cuz you will get sick of hearing it lol ...love em though you do ...

ya have sex..it works no joke i did it...and within 20 minutes i was in labor.and anotha thing..do alil running if u dont want to have sex..it will work too. promise ya...if u have sex make sure u wash ya self b4 u go to the hospital
