I live in Singapore. anyone know why eggs r ALWAYS sold in pkts of 6 or 10? I eat only 1-2 eggs a week, when I ask the store for just 2, somehow I always get the strange look n frequent refusal to sell to me. Anyone had this problem?

Well, here in the US, most of the eggs are sold by the dozen. If you refrigerate them, eggs will stay for several weeks in the fridge, so 6 or 10 isn't bad.. They don't sell them loose here either..some stores do carry packs of 6 here, but that's rare.

Wow, they sell eggs by the dozen over here (12 to a pack.)
They even sell eggs by 18 to a pack.
Where did you live that sold 2-pack eggs?

In the U.S., eggs are only sold in multiples of 6. Most common is 12. You can't buy just one or two eggs. It just doesn't work that way. sorry.

that is the craziest thing. Here they are in a pack of a dozen. And we go through 2 dozen a week for sure, what with baking and all that too!!

there like 50 cents for a 6 pac . through 4 out.

eggs will keep for weeks buy them at one time and hold over what you don't eat. you wont have to buy so often.
