I think you're going to be a kitty-granny. Congratulations.

She may very well be pregnant but, as stated before, you need to take her to the vet. If she is strictly an indoor cat then she was probably not vaccinated against feline luekemia. If she was exposed to a cat that was infected then she might contract it.

If she is expecting, then you will need to be sure and supplement her diet. She will need extra nutrition. Start mixing some kitten chow into her regular food, gradually inceasing the kitten chow until she is eating mostly or all kitten chow. Leave her on the kitten chow until she starts to wean the kittens, then slowly switch her back to her regular food.

You need to take her to the vet now!!!
Cats can get FIV, or other diseases from other cats.

GET HER FIXED!!!! GET HER TESTED! AND GET HER SHOTS!!!

And if you have the patience, you can train your cat to stay in your yard. She just wants to go out a little.

Could you imagine staying indoors 100%???

It doesn't have to be all or nothing with cats (indoor or outdoor).

I trained my cats to stay in the backyard, BUT I STAY OUT THERE THE WHOLE TIME.

If you don't train them, once they get out, they'll bail.

It's better to train their BOUNDRIES, than try to keep them in the whole time.

You can start by getting a harness, and a leash, sitting with her right outside the door. That way she knows where to get back in the house. Then let her work her way out more in the yard.
Eventually, maybe you can take the harness off.
NEVER LEAVE HER ALONE OUTSIDE.

Like I said earlier, if you train the boundries, and she gets out accidently, she will know where she can go (mostly).

chances are your kitty had quite an adventure! she more than likely was in at least one scuffle with another cat. Something like that is traumatic for an inside cat that is not used to the outside world. she will return to her comfort zone within a few days. If her appetite dwindles, call the vet!

You're rediculous for owning a cat and not having her spayed.

Blows my mind how many people LOVE to contribute to the animal overpopulation problem.
Congrats, she may be responsible for a chain of thousands of kittens being put down in the future.

Have you checked her over for any abnoraml bumps or lumps. She could have gotten into a fight and has an abscess somewhere and possibly an infection. Hope she was vaccinated,or she could have contracted something from another cat. OR, she could be pregnant..should of had her spayed!!!!

If she was out 5 days you can almost bet that she is pregnant. You'll know soon enough. You could start looking for homes for the kittens now.

Either of those are a possibility and a five-day pregnancy wouldn't be having any effect on her this soon. So illness seems the most likely possibility.

That's a classic symptom of cat pregnancy. They tend to become a little more settled and relaxed. And much friendlier. I'd have the vet check her out. If she hasn't had her rabies vaccine, I'd have that done as well.

Your about to have a lot of kittens. Always spay or neuter your pets. I have 2 cats and they are both fixed.

I have two indoor cats and I keep a collar and phone number on them. One never knows when a cat may want to wonder. Let's remember these are animals not humans and their instincts are theirs not ours.

If she is not fixed then she may bring back her babies to your home much later on.

Good luck on finding her.
