Dead end means if you go straight down that road it will end before any turns. No outlet means you can have a lot of turns but none will lead you out anywhere except the place where you came in.

No Outlet seems more politically correct to me! No one wants to live on a street that's a "dead" end.

Hmm. Interesting question to ponder. I am not sure but from my personal experience "No Outlet" usually has a large dirt turn around thing at the end. "Dead End" usually has a bunch of homes and you have to turn around in their driveway

In Canada, we have ones marked

"Cul-de-sac". Means the same as the other two.
