I have short, thick, naturally wavy hair that has never been more cooperative (with a good cut) than the last year, when I discovered putties and pomades. I have only tried two and love them both...Tresemme is always a bargain at $3.00, Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special was a huge discount from $15.00, I got it for $3.50. I am not a product snob, I am equally happy with every budget: Suave or generics and store brands, all the way up to salon products.

What I don't really love is the way my hair feels when I use enough to work the way I want it, it is horribly greasy. Not touchable.

Is there any product you know of that does such a good job of giving memory hold but still touchable and without the greasy feeling? It needs to be a budget friendly item, can be other pomades/putties, or another type of product. I have not ever had very good luck with hairsprays, gels, or mousses. They don't hold and make my hair crunchy.

Thanks!
