Litter box training probably isn't the best way to potty train. It only works in dogs about 1% of the time, and even then you have to start training when they are about 3-4 WEEKS old. They dont tend to like it. If you want your pet to use the bathroom inside, the best way to do it is by puppy pads.

I agree that puppy pads are the way to go. However, they will sometimes miss the pad so you might want to put plastic under it. Someone I know put the pad inside a big baking sheet and trained the dog to step into the baking sheet. That way nothing gets on the floor. Save a little piece of the soiled paper at first to keep the dog coming there.

a litter box is not very good for dogs.dogs even chihuahuas have instincts to go outside.so a litter box is most likely not to work.when your home bring it outside to go to the bathroom when gone use either puppypads(recommended) or newspaper.hope it helps bye

litter box is not healthy for dogs, they have these grass strips you can get for your balcony that the company comes and changes out about ever few weeks, its very expensive. I recommend puppy pads when you're not home and take the dog out when you are as much as you can. good luck.
