Theres not much u can do...if u don't live at home then keep you life separate. Find other things to talk about...This will be best for u and her.

Remember moms will always be moms...parents know if that person your with is right for you....you can't blame your mom for protecting you..but your mom also needs to leave u alone and let u live your own life..but you have to remember if you live under her rules you have to listen to her... maybe the best thing that you can do is sit down and lay some rules...tell her to stop running your life etc..but take it calmly...i hope it goes fine..good luck..Just remember someday you will be a mom and know how it feels...good luck

Parents have a hard time excepting who we choose in life. We think no one is good enough for our children. My parents didn't care for my husband for every bit of the first 10 years of our marriage. I've been married 20 years now and they like him more than me! We have such high exspectations for our children and when they don't do what we think, we come off as the bad parents. Your mom loves you and I'm sure she is going thru the feels like her child isn't doing what I wanted for her in life. Hang in there, and when she sees your doing fine, and are happy, she will get past it. Good Luck!

I guess a mother's instinct is to protect; and no matter how old her child is... she will still want to look out for you!!
Try not to say anything that will hurt her; she must really love you!! If the person you are with; is really a good person, then have them prove it to your mom!!
