Just go to the drug store and buy one of the conair or revlon ones. Just because the chi and solio irons are more expensive doesnt mean their better. Make sure the iron has ceramic plates not ceramic covering.

I hope i can help!!!

NOOO!! And dont listen to the other person too do NOT I repeat do NOT buy a drugstore flat iron reason being their cheap, dont work and will rip out your hair (from my own experience this will happen!). Yes a chi flat iron is good but there are other better irons for example babyliss and np group carry some of the best even a solia. Remember your getting what you pay for if you go cheap you get cheap if you pay abit more youll get quality results. Go to a salon and they should hae flat irons for sale your best bet is to buy one of those also ask them for tips on how to use it. And a chi is NOT better than any other flat iron its equally the same, the chi is only popular because of its short easy to pronunce name!

Oh and another thing whichever iron you get make sure its 100% pure ceramic.. NOT ceramic plated! If its plated it will eventually peel off. The reason you should get ceramic is because it doesnt damage the hair as much as a regular iron (it emits negative ions which are good for the hair!)

I have naturally wavy/straight hair, but my hair gets really frizzy all the time. i went to the hairstylist and she said that the chi is a great iron, but most people dont need a ceramic iron that strong. She said that those are for people with really really curly hair. So she told me to just get a ceramic iron at a drug store for about $20 bucks. It worked out really great for me.

CHI's are considered "top of the line" but an even better one would be the Sedu, found at folica.com
