You are not even 20 years old and you want to give up. In knowing this, it disturbs me to know you feel this way. You mentioned something about having good and bad days in school. I'm wondering if the source of your tension is school. I know so many young people who do not enjoy school at all. I understand that being young can be an ordeal. So much is heaped on you all. People in general and those with authority over children expect them to be instant young adults. They tend to be abusive and have this false notion that the young are resilient and can put up with anything and I think that is wrong.

I think you should talk to someone you trust about the way you are feeling. If you could talk to your parents or a close relative or trusted friend, maybe that could help. Believe it or not, we are all fed up and disgusted, but most people don't talk about it. If you would only ask someone--anyone what their life has been like and if they took the time to tell you, you'd be surprised by what they'd have to say. If you are good listener, you will learn that life is a roller coaster. It goes up and down and then there are the gray areas. Keep looking for those day to day small pleasures in life. They are meant to enliven you and keep you going.

I'm not a religious fanatic, but when you mentioned God, it led me to believe that maybe you know him. It's said that God will help you through anything. Like they say, trust in the Lord and go with the flow. There might be something to that.

God Bless you and be good to yourself. You are on this earth for a reason.

Hey..... Everyone has good days and bad days. It's how you react to them that makes all the difference in the world. You need to enjoy the good days, and learn to cope with the bad days. That's how life is: not a roller coaster, but more like a few bumps and potholes in the road. Maybe you can learn to actually laugh at your problems and your outlook on life. Look up Murphy's Law on the internet. There are other websites as well that might just ease your pain and make you laugh in spite of yourself. One way or another, you can get through this difficult time in your life, alive and in better shape than you've been. You've got a lot of good living to do.Good luck.

I have felt that way since I was 12 an I am 40 now and have found myself not really enjoying anything lately. I Have good days but most of them are bad. I have more bad days at work than good no matter how hard I try. I can't really give you any advice but can say I know how you feel and if you don't get help, it won't ever go away, I know that for a fact.

Hey I know exactly how you feel cos I have been there. I still go there from time to time its a human thing to do. the fact that you mention God, even if you think hes not there for you and you dont need him kinda says that you have faith.( a good start) you know it is said that God never tests you more than you can bear.
Anyway its an excellent step that you are able to share your feelings and I reckon you have to find a focus and perhaps that focus might be to try and do things to make others happy, sometimes if we take the emphasis off ourselves for a while we realise that we are not so bad off. ( Sorry saying things like used to annoy the hell out of me) but you know it does work. You mightn't be able to see it right now but life is worth living and you hold the key One day at a time.

I was thinking that about a week ago and now I can't even believe I would think something like that. Don't think of it as, " Everything always gets messed up in the end." Think of it as, "Everything that seems horrible right now will get better." Life really does suck, no doubt about that, but its only parts of it that suck. I'm only 15 and all I could think of for a while was that all life is is working hard so that you can survive so that you can work hard at things you don't want to do anyway, but have to because you need to survive. A viscous cycle, but now I'm just peachy. Life comes in cycles. Couple good days, couple bad days, you just have to put up with the bad to get the good.

Not weird at all , in fact this is the best thing you have done so far . I have felt like you all my life and I am now 39. Point I have to make is I knew at 15 I was extreme depresive and it took until I was 31 to admit to it. I was almost lost, I was on suicide watch until recently BUT I GOT HELP AND YOU JUST HAVE TO ASK IN SCHOOL , DOCTORS OFFICE, YOUR PARENTS.I know its a ***** but once you tell one person its easier to speak to a doc, then its easier to deal with it yourself in your own mind and thats where it counts. Find love then love yourself, the love being people who care about you, and if you feel really down call someone , never suffer alone. Call the hospital , even the local police , they wont turn you away. Dont think you are alone in this world , there are thousands who feel like you. Hope this helps you.

I think everyone has these feelings from time to time throughout life. If you can't shake them off, go talk to a doctor about a mild anti depressant.

sometimes i feel like that too. you just have to search hard for something that will keep you going. something to live for. i do believe in God, but i can understand why alot of people don't. just keep living for the small moments in life when you forget yourself and just live. be happy and keep the memory of that smile tucked away for when you need it most.
