I believe there are 3 stages to anything you contemplate doing.
1. I have to lose weight
2. I want to lose weight
3. I'm going to lose weight
As soon as you decide you are going to and want to rather than feeling as if you should, you will feel motivated. The same applies to quitting smoking, studying etc. Anything that may seem like a chore.
Reframe your thinking. Good luck!

I know what feel. It can be difficult. Try joining an exercise class. Once you pay the money, you will want to make the most of it by attending. Also you will meet other people who may be in a similar situation and you can make some exercise buddies. I have found the best motivation has been being around other people. I have found it's more worth spending the money and time to be with a supportive group than to spend hundreds of dollars on a treadmill that will only gather dust or be a clothes hanger. And if you don't feel like spending more money with classes maybe you can keep exercising with the buddies you met in class or some of your friends. Make it fun! Exercise shouldn't be boring. I've seen people walk in the mall. You can do window shopping--just don't stop by the food court.

It has to come from within. Trust me. I was 50 lbs over weight. And I couldn't see that it wasn't good on me. One day I looked at myself in the mirror and finally saw what I looked like. It was just my motivation to look better in clothes and start to feel better about myself. Now there are big people out there who love their size. Being 50lbs over weight wasn't for me and ever since I've been working out a few times a week I look better and I feel better.

Hi. You know, I wonder if you aren't suffering from depression? Maybe your first challenge might be to deal with some of your emotional issues. If you are feeling positive about life, it will probably be a lot easier to lose weight, don't you think? So please excuse me for asking, but could there be some truth in what I say? Are you really sad?

The first thing you can do in order to get motivated to exercise is to put on your workout clothes. You're much more likely to actually work out once you're dressed for the part. Secondly, clean out your cupboard/pantry of all unhealthy food. Begin purchasing Lean Cuisines, 100 calorie snack packs, and drink lots of nonfat milk and water. Cut out coffee and soda if you drink it...drinkable calories add up fast!

Its probably harder than before because you are a little older. As our hormones change, it is harder to build muscle and to lose weight. These changes can happen very quickly.
Just keep it up.
If you can, run 2 miles per day, 5-6 days per week.
Good Luck.

First of all, set a goal for yourself. You should also have a pair of skinny jeans, and an idol that you'd like to look like. That's all I can think of right now, but I recently lost 30 pounds, so just know that it can happen, don't give up!!!

Motivation for weight loss and fitness
One of the greatest difficult tasks is to motivate you for weight loss. After one month around, you start your enthusiasm in your weight loss and fitness program. I have learned few things that that has helped me to be motivating towards the fitness program and get my weight loss goal. I think these tips will also helps you as well to loose weight and keep motivated towards various weight loss and fitness programs.
* Once you have started your weight loss program, its a great idea to weigh yourself only once a week. If you keep on weigh everyday, you will only discourage yourself. If you weigh yourself only once a week, you will be able to analyses whether you need to make change to your existing routine or not.
* Keep a photo of a heavier version of yourself in plain view. This will keep be motivating how great you look after loosing weight than you were before loosing extra pounds. It will also prevent you from sliding back into old habits.
* Once you have achieved your weigh loss goals, and then imagine what you want yourself to look like. This will give you the motivation to keep the weight off.
* Keep setting higher and higher goals for you towards your fitness. If you do not set new goal for you and work to achieve them, then you will surely run in to our bed habit. As a result, you will not be able to keep the weight off. So it’s a great idea to keep on setting new goals and get in perfect shape. As you know it’s a really tough task to keep what you have achieved than what you are looking for.
These are some of ideas that keep me motivated towards my weight loss and fitness program. There may be many more reasons for you to motivate yourself to loose weight.

go to the store, and buy healthy foods that taste good, without all the bad carbs/sugars/fat (especially trans fats.. they are very bad.. it is said that you should only consume no more than10% per day). make sure there is NO junk food in your house. also, set a goal, a reasonable goal, and then reward yourself with prizes like manicures/pedicures. good luck :)
