Today, many teachers and students in my school say that illegal immigration is a race issue and people tend to forget that. They say its because they want to put up a fence in Mexico but are not talking about putting one up in Canada, even though the Canadian border is much, much bigger than the Mexican border.
I argued that its because most of the illegal immigrants come from Mexico, however they said that is not true and even if it was, it doesn't make it right.
My question is 1. who is right? and 2. (and most importantly) where can i get REAL statistics and facts about showing where the immigrants are coming from the most annually?
thank you.

Ok, my main question is where can I get the statistics about where the immigrants (both legal and illegal) are coming from the most.

Hmmm... never thought of that. You dont really hear of people illegally trying to come here from canada, so its probably not much of an issue. Its like, if I had rats coming into my house, I would set rat traps. If there were cockroaches outside, but they dont come in, I'm not going to bother with them. I deal with the problem, not worry about the one that is leaving me alone

The Canadian border has never really been closed and is not considered a 3rd world country. You might be able to find more information (facts) on the amount of crime by illegals, tax expense , and also the fact that Mexico can and does hide and protect American criminal. Canada works with America most of the time and has a much more stable economy. Hope this helps, try to keep in mind their is a lot more opinion available then fact and while your teacher is correct about race it is also economical. Look at the extreme differences in the living quality.

Bill Maur on HBO had Pat Buchanan on there, he just wrote a book 'State of Emergency'. That has alot of hard facts about this issue.
Basicaly, out of all the people that come over here illegally, there is 1mil new criminals that have come up from mexico. Toss into the mix that they come here still supporting thier contury of Mexico and are only here for Money and Jobs.
Canadia has a better healthy car system than the U.S. and they get most of the same attitudes in life and libarty that they dont need to come to the U.S. for decent jobs.
I mean the Paso is 1/10 of a dollar. So they dont make that much in the grand scheme of things.

You are right. 98% of illegal aliens come from the southern border. Of those, it is estimated that between 75% and 90% are from Mexico. There would be more from further south, but Mexican immigration laws regarding immigrants from countries further south are among the harshest in the world. So they have a harder time getting to the American border because Mexico won't let them through their country.
How can a wall be racist. It keeps the occupants of one side from invading (entering without welcome) the other. The wall is not programmed to bar a particular race. To say a wall is racist is to say that having a soveriegn border is racist. One is just more effective at the same function as the other. And if 98% of the invaders were entering from Canada, we'd be buiding a fence there instead.
There are a million of sources on the internet. You just need to look.

Illegal immigrants from Mexico total more than illegal immigrants from all of the other countries put together.

However, that doesn't mean you will get a good grade. With me it was nuns, but the point is, when they have a touchy feely "feels good" cause, facts won't disturb their entrenched opinions.
Best of luck, though.

Just tell your teachers being politically correct and not facing facts, dose not always help this country, they would do better facing facts on what is happening, The teachers are afraid of saying anything that go's against popular opions, teachers are afraid to express their true opions for fear the students will repeat what they say and the parents will get upset and confront the school, then the teacher can get fired. Just get your facts straight and confront your teacher and students, they will probably get pissed off but that is to bad. You can also type in the high cost of illegal immigration and get facts.

Canadians don't want to come to the USA. Canadians are not of the opinion that their country sucks, so there's no impetus for them to leave it for greener shores. Your average Canadian would say that the USA doesn't have the greener shores anyway.
There are a lot of people who overstay their visas.
But -- for people sneaking across the border, most sneak across our border with Mexico. Not long ago, there was an ad in the Los Angeles Times, placed by the government of Mexico, which, in effect, stated "Yes we realize our country sucks. But immigration is your problem too. Lump it."
So
1. You are right.
2. Sorry, you can google for that just as easily as I can!

That is because the teachers and students inyour school are either his-spainish, or ar enot yet impacted by the immigration tide. If you live in a town of say 20,000 and one day it's 40,000 and over half of them are mexican, and they want all of the signs to read spainish, they want their mexican flags to be flown, not American. They want their children to be taught mexican history, not American, they want to be gurantee free health care, free food, free housing at you expense that they woll see the difference of those who ar ecalling fo rthem to be given free citizenship and those who say no.
As American citizens we should pres sfo rthe same rights in mexico or stop trading with them . They(students/teachers do not se that if we give this 11 to 25 million citizenship there are an nother 25 million waiting to cross the border.. Mexico is one big
baby making factory and wwe do not need oputside help to populate this country.

We are putting up a virtual fence along the Canadian Border...but, bottom line, the illegals have no say in our politics
WHATSOEVER
They do not even have the right to question us...what we do to protect our borders...what we do to protect our legal citizens.
THEY HAVE NO VOICE....so what they say has no meaning at all...
