Apparently you are thinking on technological terms. Without technology we wouldn't even be in the top ten. As far as plain old @ss kickin ability, I would pick China or N. Korea viet nam and just about any middle east country. These are warring nations. They have experience. They don't care if they die either. All that the viet cong soldier carried with him was a rifle and a ball of rice and he kicked the @ss off the american soldier, who had missles, grenades, radios and lots of other stuff. But I would say that the U.S. is the most powerful nation on earth, and it's going to our heads. That's why everyone is trying to sneak up on us. Brittish got nothin much, that's why they suck up to us.

Think about it. Iseral is surrounded on all sides by its enemies but none of them can beat Isreal. Isreal is on bad *** country.
If we turned them loose they would wipe out Iraq, Iran and Seria
We have the capability to destroy any country in the world. We have rapid deployment forces that can be anywhere in 72 hours.
We have the deadliest Navy and Air Force ever created.
China.....If they gave all their people sticks they could beat most of the countries in the world just by the sheer number of people they have. They could overrun any country without firing a shot.

in terms of sheer size i would say china, russia, united states and everyone else kind of falls short of those kind of numbers. in terms of technological advancement and firepower i would say united states, britain, russia, china, france, and germany
