PS sorry if it seems im forgetting dads there, but for a girl to loose a mother i think is hard, as is if a boy lost his father because of the whole becoming a teenager etc and loosing the chance to become friends with them as adults!!!

Glad you added DADS there too, I lost my dad last year and I have to say I think the loss of either parent is devastating. I cherish my mom every day and I cherish my dad even though he is no longer here in the physical sense. So yeah, remember that parents are not gonna be here forever everyone and make time for them.

You go girl we all got someone we've lost mum, dad, grand-parents even siblings, but to lose at a young age is that extra kick in the nuts... I know. So i try and stop and think every day of the good times even the most vivid. x

i lost my dad thursday. it's really hard. my mum seems to be ok, she's strong and we're looking after her as best we can, given our own pain at losing a fantastic dad. my husband lost his mum 3 years ago thursday and his dad 2 years ago october. my beloved grandma went last year. i wasn't thinking about me so much, it's my kids. they won't grow up knowing their grandparents, and memories are a little hazy for them. we've now got 4 stars up in that sky so the kids know people are looking out for them.
life is hard and also very unfair, but i guess that the way it is. my dad's with his own parents now and also out of pain. it's something i'm hoping will get me through the next couple of weeks.

My mom passed on 14 yrs ago. Every year, on her birthday, I think about what would be different if she was still here, but am grateful for the things I learned from her before she went. I don't get sad anymore, just thoughtful. Thanks for the opportunity to remember!

I lost my Mother 4 years ago on September 19th everyday is a struggle when I think of how much I missed out on with her. I feel our mothers are in heaven and they just want us to be happy. I hate it when people talk negative about their mothers. So I just want to say that your advice is very appreciated.

I lost my father ten years ago this month. I was 24 years old, I guess I was lucky to reach adulthood but it was not easy, losing a parent is hard regardless of age, please go on and do not let grief define your life
