Easily. The world that you live in, you yourself have created for yourself, the way you live and think. A hateful person's world is full of hate and a loving person's world is full of love.
I do not love hateful people, but am amused by them believing that hate, jealousy and greed could lead to happiness.

Empathy and Love is 2 different things. Just because Buddhists show empathy does not mean they "love" everyone. We still get pissed off, but the main focus is to be detached so we can see things more clearly. We don't see in race, creed, or gender. It's not about giving and receiving, it's about who we are and how do we fit in society.

I believe we walk in mindfulness through this world. We do not form attachments to objects that make us just more of the world's frantic consumers. We do not go to extremes of "giving" so that we have deluded ourselves into believing we can buy enlightenment through right actions. We walk the middle way with the Buddha, a balanced path of common sense and insight.

I'm Buddhist, and it does not depend on people. One word that should answer this is "acceptance." Accept you life. Don't fret. There is a reason for everything.

i am not Buddhist but
giving with expectations of receiving is not what it is all about
it is when you can love unconditionally without expectations that matters
do you know how good that feels .. how at peace you can become .. just to give
I'm sure you do xxx
