I have to say that I would prefer my child not to become involved in an interracial relationship simply because of the stigma it tends to bring. I know about the stigma because I have a black step mother and a mixed sister. I feel sorry for my sister sometimes because it seems like neither race wants to completely accept her. I think my step mother is one of the nicest, intelligent people I know and it did not bother me that my father married her. I think if two people love each other and are ready to deal with what life throws their way, then good luck to them. I think there are great people of every race and there are horrible people in every race.

I am puerto rican, but people usually think I'm white because of my fair skin. I always correct them by saying: "I'm latina and proud of it." The thing is I love all races. I don't think there is a superior one; everyone has the potential to become a great scientist, a movie star, or even a billionaire. Color does not define you, it is what you have in your mind and your values that makes you the person you are.
As for the interracial dating I believe you just need to follow your heart. Love is love in every race, and color should not play a part in it. In fact, I just love seeing couples who happen to be of different races holding hands and not caring about what people think. It shows that true love is what their relationship is based on.
I personally enjoy the company of people from around the world. Different cultures intrigue me. I just love learning from different traditions, and can't help but think how boring the world would be if we were all alike. The world is a big place, we need diversity, and I'm glad we have it.

I have no real prejugdice against any race. I am a Black American. When I was younger, I was given the perception that white people were "better". Meaning that their hair, their grammer when communicating, their neighborhoods where all "better" than mine. Being of a lighter skin complexion I was also teased by other Black Americans for being "white". I remember kindergarten as a kid I was asked was I "white" and teased because I wasn't supposedly like the other Black Americans in my class. This caused me to think negatively of my own people. However, as an adult, I understand that all people experience racism. God created all of us. We are neither worse or better than the other races of the world. Interracial couples ... we are all mixed with something. No ethnic group of people are pure. Although some would like to think that ...
I am in favor of interracial dating/marriages.

I look beyond skin color but I also have in the back of my mind when I was always beat up by a different race then I, and tend to feel uncomfortable when I see that race. Whatever makes the couple happy I am open to it on interracial relationships. as for myself I would like to stick with the same race.

Stereotypes are everywhere and very real. Sometimes they govern a persons thoughts completely.
Race relations. I wish you luck on writing that. That is going to be tough. In answer to your question: I am a white woman married to a white man. I do not look at a persons race. I watch how the person acts, talks, etc. There are as.sholes in all groups, race, religion, politics, etc... but there are also good people within those groups. It doesn't do any good to generalize people and expect to get very far in this world.

Pardon the cliche, but we are all God's children. Ethinicity and gender should not be a determining factor of the true nature of a person. And in regards to marriage, there aren't any colors lines. If the person you wanna marry is willing to put with you through thick and thin and love you the whole way through. Who cares what race they are, that's a gift in and of itself. GOoD question...God bless

I have no problems with any of it since I am Caucasian and my dh is African American.
I don't really buy into any stereotypes because people always seem very confused because I don't fit the stereotype they try to put me in.

There is only one race: The human race.
Everyone is a descendant of Noah, his sons and their wives.
Oh, and God is color blind. He looks at the heart, not the features.
