Are you joking or are you really that mis-informed?
She is not playing in the Ryder Cup. There are no sponsor exemptions for the Ryder Cup, the only way to play is to earn your way on the team by winning/placing high in tournaments (or be one of the two "captain's picks").

Are you serious??? Michelle Wie can't get into EVERYTHING!!! She has only made ONE cut in men's tournaments (it was on the Japan Tour, I think). There is NO possible way that she is EVER going to participate in the Ryder Cup. If a captain does pick her, I will be shocked.

She needs to at least win on the LPGA Tour.

It's funny how people stick up for her so strongly. Yes she's paid, yes she's paid and yes she paid. We know. And yes she's a young girl. But here's the deal-people slam her because her performance and 'wins' does not warrant all of the attention. It was a great business deal for Nike, and who wouldn't take the money. But until she has AT LEAST one LPGA win, all of the attitude towards her will continue. Even Tony Kornheiser on Pardon the Interruption used to be her biggest supporter early in the year, he has given up on her and wants to see he get a win on the LPGA. Is that so much to ask. A lady to get a win on the ladies tour. If she was killing them, it would be great to see her with the men. Like Duke in the NBA or USC in the NFL.

Heehee!

Well Michelle Wie is a load of hype. I'd like to see her winning a few more tournaments before they build her up so much.

As for the Ryder Cup, dream on. She may make it on the "Captain's P(..)ick" by using certain "assets", but otherwise no chance ;-)

Somehow she lost 18 and 17 in the morning round; no one can quite figure out how.

She dropped out due to heat exhaustion in the afternoon round after firing her caddy and being caught not assessing herself a proper penalty.

She is a favority to win the miniature golf competition on Sunday, however.

She's not in it. She can't even qualify for any mens tourney, let alone be INVITED to the Ryder Cup
