What I want to know is this
Why is it acceptable for all other countries to have a recognizable border...but not the United States?
Why are we the only country who must recognize that the earth belongs to everyone...(even if they don't pay tax here)...but yet no other country feels compelled to do so....?
Why are we the only country that the world feels is compelled to take in everyone?
Who else even comes close to doing the compassionate, charity and foreign aid that we do?
Why must be always play both Santa Clause and whipping boy to the world?
When will it end and when will we take care of Americans first?

Actually, I just saw on Glenn Beck's program that an Al Quaida operative has already snuck across the Mexican border and is now in the U.S. .. al Quaida has apparently warned Muslims in this country to get out of Washington D.C. and New York ... apparently they are waiting for a message from Bin Laden which should be delivered within the next few weeks ... that's what he had on his TV program tonight, I don't have any links, and I don't know how true it is ... but I for one am going to keep my eyes open and google for links ....
So no, I don't think everybody sneaking across the border is a nice poor person just wanting a better life ....

It's not about an imaginary line Zoe. Hopefully your family has work and health care and never goes hungry. If you needed to cross an imaginary line and BREAK THE LAW to live in subhuman conditions for your family would you do it? Until you think about how bad it had to be to come here, you will never truly understand the plight of modern day immigrants. Well said Luvnpower!!

I have lived and done years of research along the Mexico-US border. The vast majority of people that cross the border do so to improve their lives. Families along the border live in miserable shanties where major transnational firms pay them about 50 cents/hour to stitch blue jeans and make car parts for US consumers. If I wanted a better life to feed my children I would do the same.
I always find it funny when people begrudge others the chance to better their lives. After all, those people only have to travel through hundreds of miles of desert, risking life and limb under a scorching sun to avoid the border patrol to sneak into this country to work in the most miserly jobs for the least pay. And we Americans won the lottery of life and had to do nothing to be here! Or did you choose your parents??

You are 100% right...and they are not here to better their lives. Completely anyway. This is in the sense they they come here to better their life in Mexico. They do not come here to be a part of the US or be productive individuals to our society.
They come here illegally...usually without their family. They work under the table and send 1/2 their paycheck to Mexico, where, if you know about conversions makes them wealthy men in a few years.
Wake up everyone!!! They come here to take advantage....PERIOD.

No, some are sneaking in condom bags of cocaine in their a*******.
Or bringing in 50lbs of Mary Jane on their backs,
I don't think they could get all that in their a*******.
