Yea, I find that interesting as well! These Fascist get on here and rant about war and they haven't a clue what one is like! I would have loved for all of them to have joined me at the Valley of Death in Vietnam!
I wouldn't fight for oil companies!
And don't give me the Democrats voted for the war! That is mere show!! If you don't think so go see how many Republicans voted for the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, committing our troops to Vietnam!! They then later tried to take it out of the record! Yellow pure through!

You forgot the thousands who are now serving, and support the war. Your forgot the millions who voted for George Bush and supported the war in doing so. And the majority still support the war as they know something you evidently do not. We fight it over there now or we fight it here later.
Hilery Clinton did not serve, Bill Clinton did not serve, Lincoln did not serve, Churchhill did serve, Roosevelt did not serve, President Isenhower as far as I know did not serve., not serve, " Al Gore story" credit to " www.freerepublic.com/forum/a39f74a5d37cd.htm" Gore claimed in his convention speech: I enlisted in the Army because I knew if I didn't go, someone else in the small town of Carthage, Tennessee would have to go in my place. Since he wasn't KIA or wounded, how was it that his Army tour was far shorter than all the rest of us?
Our astute veteran readers took the bait. Gore's campaign launched a multimillion-dollar ad campaign this week to tell his life story. The ads will include references to his service in Vietnam-however brief. Gore spent less than five months of a typical twelve-month tour in Vietnam. He spent every minute of his tour as a rear-echelon...(call any combat veteran and they can complete that phrase for you). He was classified as a military journalist after telling recruiters he was a newspaper trainee (read copy boy) for the New York Times while a student at Harvard. He was assigned as a non-combatant information specialist to the Army's 20th Engineers Brigade headquarters at Bien Hoa military base near Saigon. Gore's immediate supervisor in Vietnam has confirmed that his posting there came with explicit instructions to baby-sit him and make sure he was never in any danger.
Dam If I can remember all of these no show democrats (as well as some republicans.)why can't you.

Add, Hilary Clinton and many Democrats that voted to go to war, before voting against it (Kerry did serve though). Clinton never served and actually said " I loath the military" in a letter trying to get out of the draft. I guess if the only way you could have a valid opinion about the use of the military is to have served, you could completely disqualify the Clinton's even though Bill sent our troops to Somalia, Bosnia and...
FYI the documents that stated and supported your claim that Bush's service was "incomplete" were forged, a slight oversight. It was in the news though.
Keep in mind you are making a case against Hilary Clinton for president. Bob dole did have a very strong service record when he ran against Bill but that was when Democrats did not find such things very important. Also keep in mind that when the (Vietnam vet) Al Gore was demanding recounts in mostly Democratic districts of Florida, he was fighting to get military absent tee ballots disqualified (knowing the current armed forces vote mostly Republican). Your diatribe sounds good, but you left out quite a few important points. Most of these Senators are very far from being poor does this mean they can not vote for wealfare increases? Only Senators who were judges can confirm judges, only spacey Democrats can vote on NASA funding... I think your point is Stupid.

I do notice, but not everybody can be in Iraq. There's 300 million people in America. I don't know the exact figures of how many troops we have in Iraq.
The whole country is at war. The soldiers aren't the only ones paying a price. $8 billion a month for the war in Iraq. The war is getting paid for with our money, we should have a say in how it's spent. This is a democracy.

interesting facts, and one of the reason I belive all polictains should serve. Read the book "star ship trooper" might be scifi. but a great idea. it also included the right to vote too. but isn't really explained until the end of the book.
by the way I am a former Marine myself and was proud to serve.

i served in iraq and i support our being there.
do you want WMD's over here? do you want those people suffering over there? didnt Sadam violate UN weapons inspections for 10 or so years? isnt Iraq in the center of the middle east and a place we need to be if we want to prevent future terrorist attacks on the united states?
or maybe.... we should have just let the whole middle east fester and grow stronger?
cmon... we need to be there if we have any sense and/or decency. why is this even a debate?

That's odd! I didn't remember seeing any Congressmen or their sons ,Republican or Democrat, in Vietnam. Course I must be slow. It took me two tours to get 3 Purple Hearts, not 10 minutes like Kerry.

WOW how wrong you are. I was active duty Army in 04 and 05 i only got out for family reason (my husband was seriously injured in iraq and his 2 BEST friends died in the same incident. I am proud to have served and he is now pending discharge (med-board) for his injuries and AS soon as he gets out in going back into the army. im replubican. you dont like the president look around you they are the ppl who voted. you cant change it and you just have to live with it. is it fair that over a thousand kids will grow up knowing thier parents were killed because some egotistical religious martyrs didnt like their freedoms no but im sure it a relief to know the government didnt over look it and they know thier family didnt die in vain and nothing ever happen to the group who did it. ONE DAY YOU PPL WILL FIGURE OUT THAT NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY AND HOW YOU FEEL THERE ARE JUST AS MANY PPL OUT THERE WHO DONT FEEL LIKE YOU. GET THE DICK OUT OF YOUR *** AND WAKE UP. IT MAKES ME SICK TO KNOW I SERVED AND COULD HAVE DIED AND LOST SEVERAL FRIENDS TO ALLOW YOU TO DEGRADE MY CHAIN OF COMMAND AND DESTROY WHAT THIS COUNTR WAS FOUNDED ON.
