Mate, My Linux laptop burns DVDs plays DVDs and media files, works wirelessly, has a wide selection of games built in to the OS, has a free powerful graphic manipulation program, AND also runs a full blown MySQL/Apache/PHP server locally. It does all this whilst maintaining very high performance - no system slow down. Boots in less than two minutes.
Do that with a Windows System!

It's cheaper to buy and there are free Linux operating system!
Since it's an open source operating system, everyone can help out improving the codes and adding more software to it!

Its more stable then wndows is. Also it does a tun of things that MS does not offer, Its really a users opinion , but if you talk to someone with computer knowledge , they will say its better

Much more control over your computer. You can do anything with regards to configuration.
