if it is just a nice way to break up with someone, then whay cant they just say that they shouldnt be together?

all i know is that he said that is wasnt me. and i do know that he has a lot of problems at home with his mom and that he is getting kicked out soon. could this have something to do with it?

That's kind of the def. but I think sometimes you need a break just to think. But you still really want to be together.

It depends ... each couple needs to decide for themselves what a 'break' means.

Usually, though, I think of it as the two people wanting to have sex with other people, while also having the person they were in a relationship with as a backup. ha-ha!
