The middle class is considered to be made up of people who have some degree of economic independence, but not a great deal of social influence or power. I would put you in what's known as the professional middle class, whose members are highly educated, well-paid, and usually immune to economic downturns. If you continue on your present course, you may eventually be able to move from the middle class into the upper middle class, or lower upper class. If you decide to become socially influential, your status could move even higher.

Class, status, it really doesn't matter youcan try to be, live up to or play the role but others will judge on what they find and that is usually on first contact. Be what comes naturaly its much easier and will free you from a lot of anxiety in your life.
Do your best at whatever you do and enjoy life, worrying about what other people think of you is a sign of insecurity , which I am sure you are not insecure yet.

Do you own a house? How much is it worth? Where do you live? Do you make enough money just to pay the biolls of do you have extra? If you have extra do you have a little extra a lot extra or a ton extra?
Honestly though...who cares? All that matters is that you are happy with your life and you feel that you are succesful. Don't worry about social class.

How much do you make ... you are probably high poor or a working class ... that depends on pay and area of the country you live in ...
You would be surprised almost everyone considers themselves middle class ... from people that make $6,000 a year to 750,000 a year
I WISH THIS COUNTRY WOULD BRING UP CLASS & FIGHT FOR CLASS RIGHTS ... like Civil Rights instead we are all slaves to the corporate world and we return home at the end of the day to our personal serfdom!
I consider myself high poor and I make 40,000 a year and I have a Master of Public Affairs === UTD Class of 2004

This is a very snobbish selfish question to ask.
I would consider you Lower Middle Class to regular Middle Class, but why does it really matter?
By the way, I notcied you asked this in the Singles & Dating section. Got news for ya . . . None of my friends or me date men who brag or care that much over there "social status". And if your a woman, my current boyfriend also doesn't date women who admire to be rich or brag of there social status.

Middle-class has to do with income, not age. And it's kind of passe, I think, to define people that way. You sound much cooler if you say you're going for your MBA.

if you have a college degree, regardless of income (because w/ that degree, you can always get a decent job & barring alcoholism or really bad luck or something, you can always work & have a skill) you are middle class.
if you make over maybe 100k, you are upper middle class, in my opinion.
