What the **** is it s'posed to mean when you say, "I just wanna be friends." Because it always seems to be total assholes that get a girl they don't deserve. I mean, they'll lie to them, they'll cheat on them, and every other thing you could think of that would make someone want to dump you, but the girls are all over them! Anyone that has an explanation, I'd be absolutely THRILLED to hear it. And if it seems like I'm pissed off, I AM!!! Any guys that can be a witness to this yell it loud 'n' proud!

These "bad boys" are attractive to some girls because:
1. they are glamorous. being bad has a certain allure to it
2. the women are shallow
when a girl says they "Just want to be friends" it means that they respect you and have a great freindship with you, but don't want to lose that.

Weeeeel, likely the girls that you're going after are:
A, shallow
B, stupid
C, immature (see option B).
It seems to me, that most of my friends have a "bad-boy" complex. They seem to like going after guys that will treat them badly. One of my girlfriends has a theory that many of these girls want themselves to appear "martyred" in relationships, and get some sort of high off of being the "better person". Who knows. Also, i've heard the "fixer-upper" theory, ... that women think they can change their mate. Let me tell you, it doesn't work! haha.
My question: are you still in High School? ... Because, high-school relationships are really silly anyways. Fun, yes. But, they rarely work out in the real world. If yes, I would suggest answers B and C are your most likely answers.
If you're in College, or older, I would say that choice A is yours. These women who you're worried about are really shallow, and likely just going after looks, money, or both.
That's what i see it as, at least.

Unfortunately hun, "I just wanna be friends" means she isn't attracted to you enough to date you. But that's ok because there are so many more fish in the sea! You will find the right girl that wants a nice guy. And I think the girls that like bad boys are the ones that think they can change them. They probably like a lot of drama in their life.

i waz in love w/ a total hottie but he waz kinda sorta a bad boy and girls r all over him
well i waz with him 4 lik 3 days and thats when i said itz over cuz
i relized my ex. was so much sweeter and the perfect guy 4 me
so remember only some girls r like that!!

Girls are all about not hurting someone else's feelings but let's face it whenever you are breaking up or not going any further in a relationship, it's gonna hurt. No matter how they break it to you. Girls, just think that is the nicest way to do it. She is just basically saying there is no chemistry there.
I'm sorry. You'll find someone someday and when you do, you'll forget all about the ones that didn't want you.

Well... Mostly I think its because the girls don't know that he does those things, and perhaps he has a good reputation in school or something? But also, it seems that a lot of girls like the 'bad boy' type... Feh, personally, I don't get it either, but I guess there's not much I can do about it...

I'm a girl, but I totally agree with you. I am not like those girls, but I've seen their kinds all the time.
My cousin had a problem like that before with a girl he really likes, but she was not really that into him for some reason and ended up with a big loser, who didn't care about her one bit.
He ended up dumping her, and by the time she realize that she was in love with my cousin, he'd already found himself a girlfriend.
I really don't understand why girls act like that sometimes, liking a loser, non polite guy over a nice good looking and educated guy. It makes no sense.

hi there...i admit that i've used that phrase a few times. i really did mean it. i wanted to be friends with the guy i was dating, but no longer date him. i had other interests and couldnt' get myself to tell him that i was interested in other guys and dating others.
also...girls sometimes like to be treated badly. it makes us appreciate the true gems we find later in life. we have this thought that we can change a dude that's treating us badly...we need to stop that!!! we think that we can be the inspiration...it's when we try and try , and keep attempting, that we get no where and finally open our eyes to new, wonderful men out there. it happens with age.
