Pamela Lawton and her two daughters, 7-year old Joshalyn, 8-year old Jasmine, and two other children ages 2 and 3 were approaching the intersection at Kentucky Street and Negley Avenue when a Pittsburgh Police cruiser signaled for her to pull over.
“I said, ‘What's the problem, officer?' and he said "Get your hands up",' He pulled out his gun and pointed into the passenger side of the window where my youngest daughter was trying to get her seatbelt off. So, I put my hands up.”
Lawton says Tatusko refused to take her identification, never told her why she was stopped and never left the passenger side of the vehicle. She said at one point the officer got so angry he ****** his gun and said if Joshalyn(7 years old) moved again he would “blow her brains out.”
“He clicked the thing back and then he turned off his radio,” said Jasmine. “I was like ‘He's going to kill us.'”

Ken y head, Why dont you click the link to the story if you think it is a load of bull?
If you ask me it the same crap, different year. Nothing has changed. We're still treated like animals in cages. This case will slip into the background like all the rest. But the family will never forget the day a so-called protector of rights, freedom and liberty, pointed a gun in their daughters' face.

It would appear that a police officer was attempting to arrest a women with a warrant for her arrest. The police did a stop, and from the article it appeared there were several police on the scene at the time.
If as soon as he asked her to get out of the car, if she refused, and of course I am sure she was not nice to the officer and most likely threating. So he pulss his gun to order her out of the car, and perhaps make a threat to try and get her to give up without a fight. Most likely he did not have a tazer and mace would have hurt the children in the car, so his options were less than it would be without children present.
But on a warrant stop one officer is suppose to always be on the passenger side of the car and another on the drivers side.
It appears this is merely another person refusing to do what the police ask them to do, and then want to blame the police when it goes bad.

It's easy to make someone sound guilty in a one-sided story. Since the police cannot comment on an ongoing investigation, you only hear one side of the story.
Oh, and the witnesses are questionable at best. A little old lady who admitted she couldn't see what the cop was doing or hear what he was saying. All she could see was that the lady in the car was screaming. The second witness is even worse. He is obviously a close friend of this lady, since while it was still going on, he used his cell phone to leave a "frantic voice mail" on her sister's phone. Plus, his version doesn't match the "victim". He says when he got there, there were already several officers and the first cop still had his gun out, and one of them said they would shoot. The "victim" said that it was the original officer who said it, and when the other officers got there, they made him put his gun away.
We had an incident here where an officer got into a short vehicle pursuit of a known felon. When he finally got the guy stopped, he ran up and pulled out his gun and pointed it at the guy. So what's the guy do? He grabbed his 3-year-old son from the other seat and held him between himself and the officer's gun, using him as a shield. The guy got arrested, but then turned around and tried to file a complaint because he said the officer "pointed his gun at [his] son." Total and complete BS, but he tried anyway.
Why don't you wait until you hear both sides of the story before you make a judgement. I'm not saying the officer is innocent. He could be completely nuts. Or the lady could be lying her a** off to try to get some money. Either way, that's why there is an investigation being conducted by an outside agency.

look I have my own personal issues with the police as it is...moved cross country to get away from harrassment...but difference is I never broke the law, to deserve such treatment. It stated she had no insurance, and I'm sure it went down just as she said too...(no comments from the police) it easy to accuse with no witnesses...the police officer was standing on the passenger side to advoid getting hit by passing traffic he was where he should be if it was a busy street and not two lanes, had she properly pulled off the road he could have easily went to the driver window. There are too many factors left out of this story to just start bashing a cop for doing his job. Do you understand how dangerous Pittsburg is to begin with...for all the cop knows she is out commiting crimes (A. no insurance) and having the kids in the car is a cover (don't think it doesn't happen, criminals are messed up) then the kids are figiting which is making the officer uneasy, I mean kindergarteners are killing each other just cause you're a little kid doesn't mean anything anymore these days...think about it. Look I'm not saying the cop was right or couldn't have done something different but I'm not gonna hang him without hearing the other side of the story either.

I read the paper article and kinda split on this. We are just getting one side of the incident and makes me want to make a couple of points.
Many years ago, I was pulled over by the Whittier California Police department. As I sat there, I looked in the left rear view mirror and saw an officer, weapon out, approaching the vehicle. I felt the vehicle move, and looked in the rear-view mirror, and there was an office with a riot gun, pointed at me. I was 17 years old and scared as hell. After being taken out, searched and cuffed, found out an armed robbery had occurred, shots fired, and the vehicle description matched the vehicle I was driving.
On an average day, big city Police departments have between 2 and 4 thousand officers on the street. A good example is the Los Angeles Police Department. If just 1% of these officers are slugs, bullies, or bad cops, its still a very big number. Most departments have ways to file complaints and most departments have dash cams and it can cost an officer his or her job, if it was found to be shut off during a stop.
My advice, file an official complaint and let IAD get to the bottom of it. OR, you can go to the DA, and file a complaint. At least you need to find out why you were treated this way.

Seems like if this were true it would have been all over the national news! No, officers cannot " blow the brains out of a 7 yaer old girl". If it di happen the mother should be pretty well off right now! Officers are always having stuff like this being said about them, just because someone is upset that they got a ticket or went to jail.

Unfortunately this crooked cop will probably get a medal. There's no chance he will be prosecuted. He's protected by the blue shield.
He should go to prison for what he did.
Be sure this is not a black and white thing. This is a police thing. I am white and I hate corrupt cops.
I think it's sickening what he did to your daughter. Believe me these a.s.s.hole cops would do the same thing to a white too. Just not as often. It's a police thing.
You need to expose this in everyway that you can. Never stop fighting until you receive justice.
I bet CNN won't run this but if this happened to a cop it would be run every hour on the hour.
You've got to sue and expose these criminals.
Good luck and god bless.
IF some cop did this to my child I would probably want to kill the Son of a Bi.t.ch.
He doesn't deserve to breath air on the planet.
Here's a little video that might make you feel better. This is what Good American Citizens need to start doing to crooked, corrupt, brutal disrespectful, ignorant cops.

I hate hearing stories about bad cops. I have a lot of friends who are cops and when I hear a story like this it makes people not trust cops. It also isn't fair to the cops who do do thier jobs and go beyond the call of duty. People are suppose to be able to rely on cops for help and when people hear these stories they get afraid.

Sounds like some psycho impersonating a cop. Do you realize how easy it is to purchase stuff to make a car look official and the uniforms? Not as hard as you would think. That's horrible to think of being in a situation like that.

Outrages, Oh my God I'm sitting here thinking that could have been one of my grand kids. There has to be some punishment for this, its a crime and just because hes a police officer doesn't mean a hill of beans. Call Sharpton,Call the Newpaper, yell out to the radio and TV. someone has to get this accross, I am sorry for your troubles. God be with you.
