Jesus was born about 2,000 years ago. Our modern calendar is based on His birth. AD stands for the Latin, Anno Domini, which means In the Year of the Lord. The Lord is Jesus Christ. He was born to the Virgin Mary. She did not have sex to become pregnant with Him. The Holy Spirit (God) made her pregnant.

The last 3 years of Jesus' life are when He preached and performed many miracles. Jesus is the Son of God. He loves us so much that He was willing to be born in human form and to die for our sins so that we can go to heaven. That's the most important thing to know about Him. He love us! He preached about the kingdom of God. He raised the dead and healed the sick. He drove demons out of people. He was crucified for our sins. He died, was placed in a tomb, and on the third day God raised Him from the dead. He is now in heaven and sits at God's right hand. The time is coming when, as He promised long ago, He will return to claim those who have asked Him into their lives. Those who have will live for all eternity in heaven.

If you want to know more about Jesus, read the Bible and begin with the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. May your searching lead you to the truth. God bless!

Thanks Don; for your comment! This gives me all the more a reason to tell the story.
I believe this story is true: God sent his son ( Jesus) to the world to die on the cross for our sins because their was no one without sin who was worthy to pay the price for the sins of the whole world. His mother was told he was to be the Messiah before he was born. He had deciples and followers. He went about teaching, healing, talking about his fathers house and doing the will of God the father. After he came the Jews would not accept him as the Messiah even thou he was a Jew; his own people would not accept him. He was hung on a cross and tortured for all the sins of the world. He died on the cross for everybody and rose again on the third day. Many people could not believe until he rose again. Some still did not believe because they thought his body had been stolen from the tomb by his followers even though they had guards at the tomb. He came back and revealed himself to his followers. Even Thomas a disciple could not believe until he saw the scars on his body.
As many as accepted Jesus Christ as their personal saviour were saved. Jesus left in a cloud and said he would return for his people. He told his deciples to continue his work and do his will. Even today some people believe the Messiah has not yet came. Jesus is the one who paid the price for all our sins. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem to Mary and the Holy Spirit, but Joseph was His stepfather. We are not sure what month He was born in. We here in America celebrate His birthday on Dec. 25. At 12 He was teaching in the temple. He loved all people no matter who they were. He healed people, and performed miracles, He raised people from the dead. He had 4 brothers and sisters. He was tempted by Satan, and resisted Him by using Bible verses. At the age of 33 He gave his life for all, by being beaten, spit upon, crown of thorns put upon His head, they pulled His beard out, and then He was nailed to the cross, so that He could die for all peoples sins. He was nailed up on the cross naked. That was the way they could embarrass Him, and treat Him like a dog. He gave His life, and no one could take His life unless He laid it down Him self. When He died that allowed people to go into the most Holy of Hollies to worship Him. He died on Fri. and arose again on Sunday. He showed Himself to over 500 people, and then He went to Heaven in a cloud. He will come again some day to earth, and all people will see Him when He comes.

Jesus is the way and the truth and the life, and no one will go to the Father's house except through Him.

The gospel is the good news about that God loves you. As we have many choices here on earth, there is going to be only two choices what comes to eternity: hell and heaven. And you get to choose.

Please, get to know in personal level. I believe that He came to free us from religions. Jesus wanted to teach us to have a personal, life changing and life saving relationship with God. Religions cannot save you, Jesus saves. If you want to be with Jesus, after you die..you need to go to Jesus for your Salvation.

You do not have to be a bad person to miss heaven. Just wit a little bit longer with your decision, and then Satan has won you over.

Jesus died for your sins so you do not have to die. Accept Him as your Lord and Savior, and you can live after you die. He showed us that He died and rose again. He conquered the death. We can be with Him forever. Forever is a long long time. Please, get to know Him. You do not have to have any priest or minister fo you to talk to Him...just talk to Him directly..He listens..and He talks when you listen.
