It's not against the law. This type of relationship is fairly common. I am sure he likes you. If he is in his 50's then a 21 year old is very tempting. He may be thinking how beautiful you are while he is starring at you. I understand from your point. I have had many students flirt with me. Keep in mind from a education point of view. To date a student is unethical while they are in attending your class. Tenure means for the most part you have a job as long as you want. A prof can lose tenure by sleeping with a student. Do what you feel is best, but certainly to avoid trouble wait just until you hand in the final exam.

It is against the laws set fourth by the college you attend, for him it is. Anyway this is absolutely the most yucky thing I've heard in a while. He could be 34 to 42 years older than you, 20 years you will be wiping his but and cleaning the sheets after he pee's on them. As you can tell I dont agree with this and his stutter is coming through on your typing. You are young be with someone that you can grow old with. Of course he likes you, why wouldn't he, your young and probably beautiful, he is old and has had a life, just let it be what it is, infatuation. The best thing to do is live your life and if he is still around after colloge then date him but don't commit to him. When you are wanting to go out and have a good time, which you will, he will not and be ready for bed at 9:30. Just don't make any hasty decisions. Sorry for the other stuff just trying to get you to look at the big picture. Good luck.

If you like him, then go out with him. Just for coffee at first, so you can decide if this guy is someone you'd like on a personal basis.
You're still taking the course? Wait until after you finish. Then you can ask him out, or let him ask you out. Otherwise you put him and yourself in an ethical bind. Do the best you can in your course, and don't take advantage of it. Sit in the back, wear lumpy baggy clothes, and don't give anyone an excuse to think you're trying to game a good grade using your sexual advantage.

It is nothing against law if you are adults. But one should always stay away from such relationships. It may give you joy (shall we say "excitement") in short term, but in long term it will turn out to be a falling out relationship. So better be cautious of him and do not let him take advantage of yourself.

He might like you, but at bare minimum it's not ethical for him to get involved with you while he has grading authority over you in a class.
It's nice that you're drawn to someone's intelligence, but I'm sure there are plenty of smart, available, and more appropriate folks for you to get involved with.

No I don't think it's against the law. I had the same thing happen to me when I was 20. My professor was really flirting with me, but I decided not to flirt back (which actually made him come after me more) because I wasn't sure what would happen. You should wait until you get yours grades too.

Well, you could talk to him not as students but as adult, outside of school, and take it from there. You should start a serious relationship after graduating though.

I would wait until your class is over this way you are no longer his student and he is no longer your teacher so this way you could be together and yes it sounds like he is interested in you and that is cool that you like guys that are my father's age for GF I don't but then again it could be for they are my dad's age but good luck to you !!

He totally wants to bang you. Just don't tell the school; it happens all the time. Watch "The Squid and the Whale" for example.
