Both my transmission fluid was low and my radiator fluid was the wrong color. Should both these things happen at the same time? Is he, just maybe, not checking my fluid levels? Time for a new mechanic? Yes?

Yes, your fluid levels should be checked every three months - AND in between visits to the mechanic. I would make sure that checking fluids is included in whatever service you are getting every three months (oil change). If it is included - I would find a new mechanic.

SOME people have one of those cars that NOTHING EVER breaks - SO It's ALL WAYS the Mechanic's fault ! {go figure} SOME cars have Maintenance Schedules from the dealer or manufacturer ! (what a Concept) NO chance the cooler inside the radiator could have sprung a leak.OH - I'M sorry - those things last 4 ever !

if you bring in your car for a diagnose check on their scanner a mechanic is not likely going to check the fluid level's,,so depends on what he was doing, usually for doing a tune up everything like that will get checked

YOU should be checking your fluid levels. You cannot blame that on anyone but yourself. Time for a new machanic: YOU.
