I think you are middle class and very much so. Even if you are not middle class now, by the time you've got your MBA, you'll definitely be. Well, why worry so much what class you're in? Does it matter?

Where I live, I used to be considered upper middle class to lower upper class, but since my income hasn't kept up with inflation, I'm now considered lower middle class...even though my home is worth $500,000, it's at the median price for where I live.

An educational qualification does not define your class, nor does the building you work in. The amount of money you earn or your assets determine your supposed class. As an administrator, I doubt very much that you could consider yourself middle class unless you have a partner with a considerable income. Accept what you are, good old working class, and get on with it.

I think the answer you are looking for will be determined both by your background and your salary now. But safely realize, you will make more money with your MBA...so maybe wait till then. I think the best status for working college students is Middle Class. Unless of course they came from a background of lots of social influnces and money.

Yes you are, lower middle anyway. How it works is that if you are a labourer (builders, mechanics, window cleaners etc ) or out of work then you are working class, if you have a university degree and work at a job that needs a qualification then you are middle class, and if you work where you need loads of qualifications and you own lots of land and houses then you are upper class.

Depends on where you live and what you own and what you have.

If you own a home at the median level, your pay is at the median level, and your education is at the median level, you're middle class. Variants either higher or lower than median sway you to either the upper or lower end of the scale.

Where I live, I used to be considered upper middle class to lower upper class, but since my income hasn't kept up with inflation, I'm now considered lower middle class...even though my home is worth $500,000, it's at the median price for where I live.

The lower "middle class" cap could be put around $25,000 per year. Since you are a student at a University, however, you're in more of a transitional period.

Lower Class. You didn't mention a house and a couple of new cars. You may have potential based on your education, but you're definitely bottom right now.
